Once again City fans will show respect as we did at OT
We did unlike the scum fans as we made our way into the ground...we were expected to show respect but as usual they couldn't manage it.

Especially their manager who was chewing away as he laid the wreath! Disgraceful.

We, as always, will show everyone what brilliant fans we are.

Re: Liverpool away

I'm looking forward to us showing them how Manchester really feels about this terrible disaster.
I have total faith that everyone of us there, will show the 100% respect that those 96 football fans deserve! JFT96

Re: Liverpool away

sorry for being harsh but how many times do they have to push their grief onto everyone else.

why can't they just to their own thing and let everyone else get on.

what about all the other football stadium disasters, Bradford, Bolton, Heysel etc..

no matter how many reports or inquests the authorities complete not one of them will take a ounce of responsibility on what happened on that unfortunate day.

It's the 25th anniversary! I'd expect the same if it was our fans that'd died, which it could easily have been.

Sorry for being harsh but you just do your own thing and let the decent people show their respect.

Re: Liverpool away

Those responsible should be made to take that responsibility, sadly some have died, some have retired but they should still be named.

What happened that day was a disgrace in how it was allowed but the cover up since has left a black mark on this country. We have enough to say about other countries and the cover ups plus the corruption in them but the whole thing stinks.

I will be at the game and will show the respect those who died and their families deserve

Re: Liverpool away

We played Liverpool on the anniversary of Hillsborough at Maine Road . That was 1995 when we got a win that just kept us up .

It's all very well saying that but what was their crime exactly? Getting pissed before the game (we are well know for that), getting to the ground late (we are also well know for that), trying to Jib in (yep)

They were mainly working class lads going on the piss to a semi final of the Fa Cup. 96 of them including women and children didnt come back. The game was played at a ground where warnings had already been given and an almost identical situation has almost occurred before at the Wolves V Spurs semi final. Liverpool were by far the better supported club but were given the smaller end. The police could not control the numbers and failed the fans.

We have played Liverpool a few times around the anniversary and it has always been impeccably observed by our fans as I would expect. I expect no different this time.

A friend of mine was at Hillsborough and for 8 hours or so we didn't know if he would come back. Thankfully he did.

Good response. Only ignorant people will be empty of any sympathy for everyone involved. Probably the worst day in football.
