liverpool away tickets

Is anyone else surprised this hasn't sold out ?

2,900 allocation, 35 miles away, our first away league game as champions...

It appears the club has been it's worst enemy by setting the criteria far too high early on.

Liverpool is a very overated away IMO - loos like other agree.

I don't think they set the criteria too high. However, they were in error in failing to bring down the criteria quick enough when they realised they weren't shifting tickets.

Tried earlier in the week and there were only restricted so didn't bother. Tried aagin yesterday afternoon and got one in block 124 as different blocks were available.

Just got home and its arrived already with directions, got to be the quickest ever. Had visions of it not turning up all.

Edit: Sold out. <a class="postlink" href="http://mcfc.co.uk/News/Tickets-and-Travel/2012/August/Liverpool-v-City-ticket-Update-23-Aug" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://mcfc.co.uk/News/Tickets-and-Trav ... ate-23-Aug</a>
What's all this about upgrading tickets?

It is important that you have purchased, and are in possession of, the correct ticket and that it is activated to allow you access in to the stadium. If the supporter who originally purchased the ticket is no longer able to attend the match, please contact the Supporter Services team on 0161 444 1894 (option 1, then option 3) to discuss, and where appropriate, upgrade your ticket. Please note that in some instances, you may be required to visit the Ticket Office above the City Store at the Etihad Stadium so that we can make the necessary amendments to your ticket (this is applicable where there is a change from a concession to an adult).

Failure to upgrade your ticket before you attempt to enter the ground may result in a stadium ban.

Does this mean you won't get in unless the ticket was bought on your seasoncard (not sure how they'd check like)? A couple of my mates that are going have used other peoples cards to get tickets...

City have posted info about the soccer bus on the OS. They haven't however said that Liverpool Central is closed for refurbishment at the moment so you won't be able to travel from there. Go from Lime Street and change at Moorfields.

EDIT: Just had a ticket through. It's the one I ordered yesterday, rather than the two I ordered a fortnight ago! YCMIU.

Has anybody used this Soccerbus before, if so whats it like? Useful for getting to and from centre??
