More lies from the Liverpool FC mouthpiece, the Daily Mirror.

Is there any evidence of this so called damage?

No.

They never needed any though is the sad reality and thanks to our own club and it’s hasty statement, it happened and we are guilty.

Let’s face it here, any damage would have been all over the media and the fact it isn’t tells you all you need to know about this non story we helped create!

Just another example of the PC and Woke culture we live in, perpetuated by the do-gooders taking over society, forcing their views, opinions, rules and regulations on to others.

For me that's clear proof that the coach is throwing bottles at bin dippers. We should apologise

I’m afraid the club has been complicit in allowing this narrative to take hold, starting after last season’s FA Cup semi-final.

And as for any **** writing for the Mirror having the audacity to deploy the word vile…

The narrative took hold more than a decade ago. Plenty of clubs have been condemned and have self-condemned the chant, including Leeds and Forrest this year.

from 2012.
'United released a statement after the match in response to the incidents.'
'The chant, which includes the words "It's never your fault, it's never your fault, always the victims, it's never your fault," was heard from a section of fans in the Stretford End early in the match.'

The more clubs issue statements on the chant will either further reinforce the claim the chant is 'associated with' Hillsborough, or it will start to erode at that claim. It will likely be a recurring topic either way. Which is good for us in the sense it widens attention and criticism aimed at the club.
