I give credit when the opposition wins fair and square. But true..you seem to big up the dippers

I think they lacked a trust in Steffens and Fern, never seen so many aimless kicks up field. Had same issue with bravo in the past.i though the back 4 were fine, they only got stretched at the end with the midfield going for broke
every game we have left now is like a knockout cup game cos i don't expect the dippers to drop any points, so it's all hands to the pumps from now on, lets not chuck the tiltle awayBigger game on Wednesday.
I don't think people realize the level of disadvantage we came to this game with today. I genuinely think this game was already dead lost on wednesday night, as defeatist as it seems.Everything about that match; selection, energy levels, commitment, has to be seen in the context of Wednesday night. It was a bruising exhausting battle and evey player will have been suffering the after effects. The very last thing they would want a few days later is a semi final against Liverpool.
By way of contrast, Liverpool players had a rest and a stroll in the park.
The other thing weighing on the team is priorities. At this stage in the season, pragmatism is required. The FA cup is NOT top priority.
IF City go on to win the league and maybe the champs league it was absolutely the correct approach to this game
Looking forward to Brighton and Real Madrid with a fit, refreshed squad already. And one less distraction
Poor chance conversion rate. I said that it would cost us after the Kane fiasco.Whys that, Dave?
I agree, our midfield were woeful especially in the first half. Couldn't believe Pep only made one sub and left it so late!!!i though the back 4 were fine, they only got stretched at the end with the midfield going for broke
Maybe give City some credit occasionally then..I give credit when the opposition wins fair and square.
But we’re on no different trajectory if we had Aguero, for examplePoor chance conversion rate. I said that it would cost us after the Kane fiasco.
Ake was our best player, I thought Zinchenko was poor, stones defended OK, but his passing was poor. And Cancelo was just Meh!i though the back 4 were fine, they only got stretched at the end with the midfield going for broke
Edited for accuracy. Why pick Sterling… he never plays well .
i agree, why wasn't this game played on sunday, it doesn't make sense, the odds were totally stacked against usI don't think people realize the level of disadvantage we came to this game with today. I genuinely think this game was already dead lost on wednesday night, as defeatist as it seems.
Maybe, buts its the games where we desperately neef a goal that cost us e.g. Southampton, Palace etc. The scousers are more clinical. But we’re on no different trajectory if we had Aguero, for example
Are you seriously having a laugh. ”In control for 90 minutes”. Were you watching city v Liverpool? They were in control for 90 minutes, and could score anytime.
This is spot on.
We have to win one of the remaining two we are in. If Liverpool do the quad then Pep will be slammed for today. Our best 11 would have won today as I don't think we would have conceded. Ederson would have saved two goals and Laporte would have taken care of Konate at corners.
Its a massive gamble from Pep.
Next year play the kids from the start and let them go all the way in the domestic cups
