Liverpool Game Reactions

Thoroughly enjoyable game of football.

Shame we couldn't find a winner, but i thought several of our lads really battled against a very tough side.

Fair result, and a much better performance than against Stoke (either game), Bolton, or Pompey.

I said before the game I'd be over the blue moon with a win and happy with a draw. It was a reasonable performance but we desperately lack a player with a decent final ball.

Solid performance, two teams knowing that losing is not an option, had nil nil written all over it from the start.

At last! Someone living in the real world

Said to my lad yesterday it would be 0-0. Shame I didn't have a bet.

Actually enjoyed the tactical battle.

Considering how cautious we have become and given Benitez's habitual caution, a draw was predictable. We need to be more positive in we're going to play to our stengths. Not a disaster but not exactly lets all have a disco material.

Pam that today was an attacking team - unfortunately both SWP and in particular Ireland did not contribute enought - the defense did their job - Ade his more than his bit - DJ and Barry were outstanding

Cant remember a single quality pass from Ireland but lots and lots of piss poor flicks

Good defensively, but they were woeful going forward so you wouldnt really expect any less. Other than that, once again completely underwhelmed by Mancini's tactics. Liverpool were there for the taking (as were city to be fair), but he chose to put Ibrahim on instead of RSC and going 4-4-2. We were the home team, and yes Liverpool's defence has been solid recently, but you really would expect the home side to take the game to the away side and create much more chance wise. The set up was more promising, but the fact we played counter attacking football at HOME to a Liverpool side devoid of any ideas going football was a let down. Ball retention was also a massive let down.
