This fixture has derailed the season. The sooner it's over without injuries the better and we can get on doing what we should have done today if we still can.
Yes it certainly has.

Is anybody else suspicious of the draw for the CL quarter finals.
  • The two remaining English teams get drawn against each other.
  • Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern the three love children of UEFA are kept apart.
To win this you have to have a clear policy before the season commences.
  1. Throw the two Cup competitions by resting all your key players each game, if you win a tie it is a bonus.
  2. Rest key players in league matches that take place before a CL tie.
You still have to aim for a top four finish in case your plan comes unstuck, but that should be fairly easy to achieve with a quality squad.

When that draw with the Scousers came out with Anfield first up, I knew we were screwed.

Well beat em for sure. Still have a feeling we might pull this of. Sterling scoring a hatrick is only way to make a mense for yesterday

I'm wondering what happened to our defence that was good in the first half of the season. Is it that Stones was that good then or is it that our rivals have found out weaknesses?

At 21:35 on Tuesday you will be made to eat your words

I hope i do. On Thursday i was saying we had a chance but after them 2 games with calamitous and comical defending can you honestly say LIverpool won' score?
No chance in hell of us progressing, Pep has fucked up our 2 biggest games of the season because of his blind faith and refusal
to adapt in these 2 games. Some of his choices on Wednesday were crap and yesterday too. If he was managing Barca Vs Real yesterday he would field his best xi with Messi, Suarez etc but no he disrespects our fan base and doesn't get at all what yesterday meant to us. He didn't even field a striker ffs and put his faith in sterling who was hopeless.
Sorry but I couldn't care less about Tuesday and the CL and UEFA. its a foregone conclusion for me and I wanted to win yesterday and he got it wrong.

Yesterday's first half proved we can overcome this deficit. If we can create so many chances against United without De Bruyne and Aguero to finish them then we can do more damage to this Liverpool side when we'll be at full strength.

Totally agree, they made the English teams with the 2 hot balls, regardless who got drawn first or second, they wanted an English team eliminated, I saw the look on that ex Chelsea players face when he picked the balls out. It's done now, and we're done for Tuesday coz I can't see LFC not scoring.

We wont be beat but we will still go out

Not so sure, to be honest. Could be a score draw. Could be anything. We played Everton off the park. Hell, we played United off the park for forty-five minutes. But our defence has been dire these last two games. I’ll be behind them 100%, of course, but I think after what’s happened in the last four days, all bets are off.
