The title winning derby........Yep! What a waste prioritizing this game over the derby!

was thinking before about Peps decision to have both Kun and GJ on the bench for the utd game......We know Kun was returning from an injury but why was GJ on the bench?
Was it because he is going to play both of them vs liverpool....and does that mean a possible return for Mendy....so playing with a back 3. According the reports, Mendy has been in full training for a bit now. Its not unheard of players coming back from a an injury to go straight back into the starting 11 (rare, but it does happen - i.e. delph at weekend - his injury layoff was nowhere near as serious)
Might explain why Pep played without a striker from the start in the derby. Pep has said numerous times we can only play that way with Mendy on the pitch....
He has to go all out attack and this would be the way to do it and may explain the absence of a striker for the derby
----------Ederson
Walker Kompany Mendy
-----------Ferna
Sterling KDB Silva Sane
-----------GJ
-----------Kun
I think we need a cushty 1st half red card for Liverpool, couple of injuries as well, and some epic finishing on our part to stand a chance of going through. Scousers will probably sit back anyway and score ome goal from their only shot on target. So if any one team can be part of something mind boggling it's our lot. Just look at the derby. Arguably 5 players short of a 1st team, we completely roasted them first half, so a repeat of that for 90+ minutes might be enough. It's not over.
We'll win 7-3. You heard it here first. Put a tenner on it.So how do we approach this?
Try to keep a clean sheet and get 3 goals and force extra time? (Or perhaps even get 4+ goals in normal time)?
Or accept we need at least 5 goals (because Liverpool scoring at least 1 is inevitable), and go attack attack attack and try to score 6 or 7?
Neither strategy looks likely to succeed imo, but try we must.
