Liverpool (H) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Well that was alright…

Much better and very dangerous in spells. Brilliant to see Haaland coming towards the ball in the box, that was a big, big positive for me.

Great game, good atmosphere and another trip to Wembley (although it really, really shouldn’t be). We’ll have played there more than Tottenham soon and it was their home ground for 2 years!

I applaud your spelling.
It is the correct spelling is it not??? :-)

I do it on social media too in the hope one of their cretinous supporters notices. None so far, but as their collective heads are so far up their own Arsanals crying about media agenda AGAINST them ( ycnmiu) I'm not surprised!

Well played City!

A typical dipper start but once we settled down we began to assert control payed some great football and scored some brilliant goals.

Erling's movement for his last two goals was superb, James made some top saves and Bernie was everywhere yet again.

If we can play like that for the rest of the season we might even win the league!

Keep it going CITY!!!!

Great result but worried by Foden at the end, did a lap on his own whilst everyone else was celebrating down the south stand then walked off down the tunnel alone
Some twat on radio reckons "there is something not right there" fk right off you conspiracy theorist.

We were marginally second best until the goal, they seemed a bit more up for it, getting to second balls more than us and found it easier to create openings whilst we leaned too hard on the give it to Doku plan when he was tightly double marked and all the space was on the opposite flank.

As soon as we got the opener, we took full control and only ever going to be one winner from there. Probably wasn't really a 4-0 game in complete honesty, we took our chances for once, they massively failed to take theirs and they surprisingly collapsed, I haven't seen that from a dippers side for a long time, slot sadly won't last long there. i've seen us play much better than that against these and lose.

Brilliant result, fantastic to silence 7k dippers most of whom left after the 4th went in, something they have history of doing, best fans my arse. Weird how many Iranian flags I saw in their away end. Dream scenario now is arsenal get beat tonight we get and beat chelsea in the semi final and have a relatively simply final to secure a nice cup double. If Arsenal win tonight as expected, I want them in the semi final, much better time to play them around crucial CL games and if we lost, it's easier to take than a final.
I hadn't thought about CL games and the impact. Odd really because it's something we've suffered with for years, will be new to Arsanal. Mind they likely won't be facing a Real Madrid type opponent like we've always had, so that is knackering before a semi. They'll probably be playing the Dog and Bone from Dubrovnic at home. ( slight dramatic licence there, I haven't a scoobies who is on their side of the draw, all I know is that it is pi££ easy compared to what we normally face CL Sf stage....)

I want to beat them again in a FINAL.

Nb I agree with Big Erl that it is not acceptable that we are no longer in the CL. We need to be 1st or 2nd in that league phase next season and avoid Real Mardarses until the final.

Went the same way as the League Cup final, we were probably 2nd best for the opening 20-30 minutes, but once we settled and got into the game, the opposition couldn't get near us

Without analyzing the game itself too much, the key thing for me is that this new, young group of players have already won the mental battle over beating Liverpool

That may sound silly, but its the kind of mental barrier that is in the way of a lot of aspiring sides

Ill not do the maths, but that was a very young side we started with today, and yet if you were new to football, youd wonder how there's currently a side ahead of us in the league

Bodes well for next season, where I think we'll win the league quite comfortably

Best performance of the season for me.
I can't believe I am saying this, but we could win another local treble.

It’s mad to think next season we have Kush, Guehi, Dias, Gvadiol and Reis…. Ake and stones to move on?? Bah as well to potentially come in. That’s mental levels of talent.
yeah ,need gametime for all of them, will Pep move Gvardiol back to lb?
