Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

That's the last 3 out of 4 times we have played them in the pl and had perfectly good goals chalked off - Raz ( Etihad 21/22, Forden last year at theirs, and now Dias. From those ' VAR aka imo corrupt' decisions they have gained 5 points from us. Absolute twunts, I loathe them. I recorded as at hospital but am so angry will just delete.

We should've been 2-0 up... that goal should've stood and always should in that exact scenario it's scandalous that it didn't.

Alisson had already dropped his clanger by the time he'd even been touched, before VAR I could understand that being missed but it's a clear and obvious error by the keeper, there was clearly also no interference in his ability to stop the goal either a scandalous decision.

We've been denied an all time consecutive home win record thanks to a dodgy VAR call.
Allison fouled Akanji in the build up!

Hard fought game. We were good in terms of cohesion, control, its a top opponent, who we dominated. Few players with quite poor performances, Alvarez might have had his worst game for us, but Foden could done better as well. Still, they both contributed, on another day would have few G/A. Foden unlucky with a beautiful shot in first half.

Many crying hear about lack of substitions as they always do, but its exactly about long run politics within the team. To improve fitness, tie up patterns of play, build confidence for players and amongst them. Not coincidence, that many coaches follows suit with this after Pep (Tuchel yesterday for instance). Also not easy decision for manager, cause everybody wants to play.

And by the way, at the end of the game we were all over them around penalty box. Without any substitutions. We are well prepared. With time the team recover its sharpness.

Chelsea deserved a draw, but can't agree with Liverpool. We were easily the better side.

First half we were definitely.. we looked European Champions level.

Second half was poor in my opinion. You could see within 10 minutes Liverpool were going to get a goal.

Completely agree.

Being down to the bare bones cost us today. Absolutely no attacking player on the subs bench. Alvarez was clearly not on the ball and would of been replaced if we had. I said just after Spazbecker saved that from Haaland, these bastards will score now. The fine lines of winning a game unfortunately. Not a bad team effort when all things considered but again to give up a lead late on is sickening. Can't wait to get Super Kev and Johnny boy back into that team and i really think we need one or two signings in Jan because that squads looking threadbare. If you can't win, don't lose! CTIFD.

As I posted in match thread if we are 2 or 3 up that Dias goal stands simple as that all about keeping them in the game which it did, corrupt as fuck ..
In fairness didn't the ref give a foul? So it'd have to be a seriously wrong decision for it to be overturned.

It was soft, but I think the slight arm on Allison is why it'll never get overturned.

Dippers couldnt beat us when we had a makeshift midfield of sorts, missing KDB, Kovacic and Stones. Akanji, good game, but with either of the others mentioned we would have won (possibly!!)

We take the point at this stage of the season and move on, it was a bitty game truth be told and little chances for both teams, I will say for a so-called Big game at 12.30pm after the international break is crazy
Except we never get anything at Anfield, that's why 3 points at home is crucial.
