Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Kush and Doku were brilliant.

Is what it is. Liverpool by far the best team in Europe at the minute and their organisation today was spot on, completely nullified us especially with Erling injured. They fully deserve the title, unbeaten away from home all season and Salah will win the Balon D'or.

We just need to keep picking up points and see where we end up. Europa is fine with me. Looks like we'll be bedding in our new signings from January with ones we aquire in the summer

I wouldn't be against letting Kev leave now to the MLS, his legs have completely gone and if Pep carries on playing him it's only going to look sadder and sadder watching his City career end.

Expected nothing today and got nothing. No injuries and not getting a twatting on the goal differences are huge bonuses.

I fucking love our club.

Performance wise, we've probably had worse. The derby shitshow was arguably a worse display than today. It still annoys me. Or the games in Lisbon, Paris or Madrid. But that being said, we never looked likely to get anything today. Gutless.

I ain't no surrender monkey, but my 'arsed' levels didn't even hit halfway today.
I am numb to the situation now.
I am confident the club will recruit where needed, and they must recruit well to have any chance of getting the trophy back.
Season is treading water, now. My expectation levels have tanked.
Looking forward to the off season... that's actually not!!! :/

Thought we did OK with what we had tbh and this game hasn't told us anything we didn't already know about the limitations of the team currently. We just need to do enough between now and the end of the season to finish top 4 and rebuild.

There will be alot of movement at the club this summer, the midfield especially needs severe repairs and we need to sort the full backs out too. It was sad watching players like KDB out there today, he just looks done and it's not nice to see him fall right in front of our eyes.

Playing the best team in the league this season without Haaland and Dias was always gonna be tough, especially with the rest of our squad being in the state it is. Thankfully that's our hardest remaining game out of the way.

Top four definitely still well in our hands, plus a kind draw in the FA Cup and a shot at Wembley again. Lots of reasons to be positive with Khusanov, Nico, Savinho, Doku, Haaland, etc. leading us into next season after a refresh and a busy summer.

Let Liverpool enjoy their title and be glad it's them and not Arteta's ugly bunch. Back on it next year.

Individual errors but overall I think we played well just lacked that end product but the spine of the team is missing at the minute… Dias/stones… Rodri… haaland and a young side with a overall good mentality wasn’t expecting a win I think if we got a goal it could of been different but we huffed and puffed… difference is they had that end product! doku would be deadly if he picked out a man just hope it comes

Aside from the other problems we now have problems integrating new players-Omar looks great but the other players aren’t sure what he’s going to go and then he tries to do too much.

In truth we are miles off.

I think the worst thing from today is new boys vs lads who’ve been here since last year. No drive to get anything from anyone bar Doku, Savinho and new boys. Nico wasn’t as bad as most others too. You can see they want to get half a result, while the oldies have just given up already.
100%

Didn't learn anything new from that. We lack creativity and energy, that's about it

We're still more than good enough to finish in the CL places
Our creativity has gone for a Burton. We've nothing. KdB can't start any more games for us. We need a very, very long pre-season starting midweek. Let's try something different.......no fucking idea what though. Foden needs to get back to work as well

The team basically played with virtual Haaland up top, because that is the only way this team knows how to play, or how they've been conditioned for the past three years. Evens with him we carry less and less threat against any form of organized defence.
Pep you fucked it and there may be no way back for you, unless you are prepared to stay another 5 years minimum. Good luck to us if we are waiting for rebuild to be done on shoulders of Doku, Savinho and Marmoush.
