“Maturing” he’d have to grow a foot, put on a stone in muscle and learn to play a position.Rico played fine...he's brave on the ball, willing to play progressive round the corner passes, rather than just safe ones He is mobile and gets around the pitch. His reading of the game is good too, nicking the ball on a number of occasions.
His big weakness at the moment is to believe he is stronger on the ball than he is, and an aversion to a % ball, leading to lost possession in poor areas at times. This is being brutally exposed by Rodri's absence and therefore has often led to big chances or goals.
When Rodri is back and (if) Rico keeps maturing, he will be a very good player in this side.
He’s nowhere near top 6 level, never mind being part of future XI that want to keep dominating the prem.
A good kid, but has to go.
