Doku, Bernardo, O'Reilly, superb

The rest brilliant.

Apparently we got lucky with 2 controversial decisions.

Both given correctly, tough shit.

Neville believes a player stood in front of a goalie who is stood on the line, who ducks so the ball can go in the net, shouldn't have been allowed because he's not in the goalie's eyeline!

Eyeline ffs,

This back four is very solid and plays in front of a world class goalkeeper. Shout out to O'Reilly and Nunes who will be hard to displace. Dias and Gvardiol is a very solid pairing, and Nico Gonzalez in front of that has been a revelation - consistency and high quality every game.
Two in front of that back four and then the options across the four attackers is very, very hard to contain. Let's celebrate tonight and relish this work in progress because we have a young team blessed with absolutely world class potential in every position.

Doku, you earned some marital bliss tonight. Well done.
100% agree with that first paragraph. Having stability at the back has been a huge bonus for us and Nico G is definitely growing, ever so quietly, into quite a beast in that position.

According to the stats we ran 9km more than the rats today, that’s some effort from us or laziness from them. In fact across the whole PL weekend we ran the furthest, 4km more than Brentford and 12km more than three teams. Hope we don’t have burn out.

Players are really turning up on a more consistent basis, now these levels have to be maintained. Always said there was a player in Nunes, seems to be 1st choice RB, NOR, is there a better left back in the PL at the moment. Nico is getting better and better, Doku, unplayable, Bernardo showed everyone why in these games he is so important.

It’s always great to see those rats scurry off early after taking a beating. Tough couple of months coming up with midweek games until Xmas every week, need the squad to step up and perform. Happy days, let’s see what the likes of Arsenal do now we are inching closer to them
What surprised me the most was how many times they were caught offside. Gapko being the worst culprit.

The first half performance was one of the best this season, full control of the game, could have been a lead by four goals. The start of the second half we struggled little bit till Doku scored the third goal.

Outfuckingstanding.
We’re getting there..
The fear factor is coming back and so is the shark.
Doku take a bow.
Forget the world class goal for a sec, he’s a constant threat and terrifies defenders.
I love his desire on the pitch but I also love his desire to get better.
A great team performance that, hard working, well drilled, a real togetherness.
Great atmosphere too.
Happy fucking days!!

Great performance, some real stand outs in o’reilly, Nunes, Nico and Doku, who I have been hyper critical of because of his end product but he’s a very, very good game today.

Gvardiol had an off day and I’m glad we didn’t pay for it.

Just a great win, Liverpool are properly shite and I’ll never tire of seeing them get battered.

Lovely rest week now to focus on those stripey twats next weekend.
They were garbage today too. We should beat them.

Don't know if that was the all-conquering performance by us that it's being reported as. Wasn't a disaster or a no-show from Liverpool either. A few marginal moments went our way - if they'd gone the other way it might have been a different game.

The game swung in that five minute spell when they had their equaliser disallowed - a decision I'm not sure about 100% either way - and we scored off a deflection shortly after. Liverpool were better in the second half but had too much to do.

But that's another game this season where we've improved on the result and performance from last year. I do think there will be more days like Spurs (H) and Villa (A) to come, which means Arsenal will be winners this year, but we're on the way back.

And with that said, lots of solid performances, especially from Nunes, Dias, and Gonzalez. Foden, Haaland, and Bernardo a little quieter than usual but still effective. The MOTM displays both came down the left from young Nico O'Reilly and Doku. Superb stuff.

Happy with where this team is. We'll finish 2nd on 75-80 points and give it a good go in the cups, which is fine by me. We're heading in the right direction for sure and days like today are ones we'll look back on when we're back at the very top next season.

We were outstanding today.

Doku was out of this world and he’s been threatening a dominating performance like that for a while.

Add in the two Nico’s and Nunes and that’s four players who now look and believe in their place in the team.
