Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I could be exaggerating here but I reckon that’s the best we’ve played for a good couple of years going back to the treble season. Agree with the poster that we got a bit lucky with their disallowed goal as I don’t think The Don gets to it anyway but did Liverpool really deserve to be in the game at that point? Second half they put a bit of pressure on at times but Doku put paid to that. Speaking of which, he deserved that goal not just for today but for his dominant display in the 1-1 draw 2 seasons ago

I owe Nunes an apology. He's starting to make that position his own. He does make the odd balls up and his passing isn't the greatest. Reminds me of Walker, who had brain fart moments, but I would not have swapped him for anybody.
Nunes's brain farts are far less than Gvardiol's these days. Fuck knows what he was doing 2nd half.

I said it last week and I truly believe it, we're winning the fucking lot. The team is gelling nicely and suddenly we look a threat from a number of angles again. I bet Haaland is fucking loving playing in this side
@youngbob can you reply to this eedjit please

No negativity intended before anyone jumps on me but will Nicos goal count as from a set piece or are we still the only team to have all goals from open play?

Doku totally unplayable for Liverpool today and was off the scale good. Gonzalez utterly fantastic as well - what a player he is becoming. Nunes excellent and has come on leaps and bounds, Ruben a leader of men on days like today - he can be my centre half all day every day.

Thought the team were great, the crowd superb and backed the team to the hilt and we thoroughly played those horrible bastards off the field. A great day - more please City. This past week is the marker of what we can be in terms of performance.

Fair play to you men today. Absolutely battered us!! Although I thought our goal being chalked off was harsh, only one team deserved it today.
I must say, the improvement in your team from last years game at anfield to now is impressive. If this Pep rebuild does go on to win the league again, he deserves to have his name alongside fergie as the best
He's already broken every domestic record the piss can could hold
