The combination of a stupid rule and VAR farcically denied us a fifth goal but it's still a hell of a score line.

Brave football from City, still a bit reckless at times against this opponent but bold football paid off overall.

Kev, Raz, Foden, Mendy and Laporte superb.

Some cracking performances on show - KDB, Foden, Mendy and 2nd half Gundo in particular. Tale of our season, play well for a couple games and then look shaky in the next ala Chelsea, just need to take tonights performances into every game next season.

On the 5th goal, there needs to be a change to this - especially considering the handballs at Anfield. If it hits an attackers hand then it can't ever be a goal but if it hits a defenders hand in a box then every excuse is thrown up about the how and whys. Need to be every decision for both or use a bit of common sense if it leads to a goal.

There's levels to this, said at half time they've had the better league campaign but our peak is higher.

That trio of Sterling, De Bruyne and Foden is the way forward. That'll win us the Champions League.

They lost 4 nil but the game showed how they benefit m decisions. Mendy booking a joke, Walker booking for a Mane dive a joke and our 5th ruled out for handball but only handled as he was fouled.

Interesting with the league over there was a few fouls given against the scousers tonight when they were breaking away,if this game was earlier in the season it’s play on..professional pride comes into play regardless if you’ve won the title or not the scousers took a hiding tonight ..
