Liverpool (H) | Post-Match Thread

One of the best performances that yesterday in a long long time loved it. The whole front 6 plus stones put in a 9 out of 10.
I just want to mention that the stick Akanji is getting from a couple of posters is very harsh. Watch the game back again, he is very important to the way we play in this system with Stones moving into midfield. In possession he has to move across and almost cover 2 positions RCB/RB. If we lose possession it’s high risk and he gets exposed due to the gap down the channel but it’s the system not him. I’m a fan of Laporte but neither he or Dias could play the role Akanji is playing in this team.
The Dippers had such a spanking that their arses were the colour of their shirts.

I’ve supported the club all the way in this for being seen to do the right thing but I agree that’s a step too far. There’s nothing “inappropriate” about that chant. The statement plays right into the ****’s hands.
We should turn it on its head and be passive aggressive and sing:

"It's always our fault
It's always our fault
Never the victims
It's always our fault"

Maybe the dickheads who run our PR dept might get the message on how we feel about this.

I know the permeatations of the game in hand & them needing to come to the Etihad. Even if all that went our way, we'd still be 2 points behind with remaining games to play rapidly diminishing.

Their season is effectively over & they've now got one game per week & only the PL to concentrate on, whilst we're still in the FA Cup, CL & still in with a chance where the league title's concerned. It's not impossible by any stretch of the imagination, but it's advantage Arsenal.

As for having to go to Klanfield? It depends which Dipper team turns up. The 7-0 against ManUre Scousers or the 0-1 to Bournemouth Scousers?
Yep, their's to lose but they would have been desperately hoping we dropped points yesterday and we didn't.

Still think it can go either way.

Arse could quite asily lose at Klanfield, Newcastle, Etihad and at West Ham and it would not be surprising.

Proper tasty today, even in the family stand, it kicked off after the match, not sure what happened near 241, there were a few scousers dotted around, after the second goal I looked round to see this chap frowning, when I asked why he wasn’t celebrating he said he was a neutral
A neutral in the Family Stand!

Bet the CSA are after him too?

I couldn’t watch yesterday as I was playing for my own amateur team (we also won 4-1, for what it’s worth). Reading about supposed songs about Hillsborough. Is this referring to “always the victim”? Or was there something else? (Or is it total bollocks?)
