Agreed 100% with Akanji. Grealish is now flavour of the month, so it seems it's Akanji's turn to be shit & not worthy of the shirt. :-/

It's all about opinions, but the £15m we spent on Akanji is the best value for money acquisition we've had since Fernandinho for £29m & Gundog for £22m.

It beggars belief that fans are getting on his case when he's had a brilliant first season with us. Pep picks him to start more often than not, so that's what City think of Akanji... \0/
Agreed, and while i like Laporte. He is definitely a very useful squad player, helps us get through to domestic cup finals and plays well enough against bottom 10 sides so gives players like stones, Akanji and Dias a rest. Rotation is key for Pep and Laporte is a big part of that. Sadly as an international he will wont to play more (maybe). However, I don't think he really loves the game so maybe suited to the squad player role. Hard to really tell of course but just seems that way.

Just watched the game back. Pep has to find a way of getting alvarez into this side. He’s way to good to be sat on the bench!
Difficult though if we play Haaland, ok they CAN play together if they have to, but two central players up front throws our shape out. To me, Alvarez is not a ''pocket type'' player, (no 10 role). Thats is definitively Foden's and Silva's role really, if not pushed out wide. Alvarez can def be the Gab Jesus type when Haaland is not playing. To me, I prefer us like that with a roving 9 or even false 9, so much harder for oppos to mark us and better to watch. I know Haaland is loved and to me he has improved last few weeks as he is pitting a shift in but it takes a lot away from what we have been good at for years, pass and move, triangles and overlaps.

So on what basis did TAA not get booked after multiple fouls?
Shirt colour, badge, sponsor's logo perhaps.
See what they and the rags (and Spuds I suppose) get away with and tell me refs don't have variable criteria for bookings. Whether they are under instructions to vary the criteria or are afraid of repercussions is another matter.

Not one goalkeeper booked for time wasting in the 1st half since that game.

Not one player booked for being the 3rd man to the referee since that game.

Not one penalty given for contact which has no effect on where the ball ends up given since that game.

Something odd was going on in that 1st half at the Emirates and we did well to rise above it and win.
The something odd can be summarised in two words, Anthony Taylor.
A cheating Rag who pretends to support Altrincham.
