Liverpool (H) | Post-Match Thread

Spent force thoroughly put in their place.
thought the same when I was watching them (and that is not to take away from our performance)

that scouse team is done......an absolute shadow of what they were a few years ago...

The likes of Salah, VVD, TAA actualy look like they dont care at all.....they just dont seem arsed one bit - zero passion in their play and that goes for others in there to. That on top of the fact that their midfield is absolute shit is why they are struggling....

I know Klopp wont get sacked - he is too popualr amongst the feral supporters BUT it looks like he has lost that bunch of players.

This is not a knock on Haaland but if City hadn't signed him they'd be running away with the PL. I think that in the long run it's definitely better to have him because they're starting to click but it's nice to know they can revert to the old ways and boss a match like that.

I’ve just this minute come in from work. I daren’t switch the telly on or radio on. Sat next to an Oldham born L’pool fan at work today so biting my tongue all morning. What was the score, I honestly don’t know although I’m hoping for the best.

Just wow! That was the complete performance today. To a man we were superb!

When news broke that the Viking wasn't in the squad, I was disappointed but not that bothered, because this is why we have a high quality squad.

We dominated from the beginning & the Dipper's obligatory breakaway goal against us came against the run of play & unsurprisingly went to Salah, but that was it from the Scousers. They got a good stiffing & rarely got close to us.

Grealish was excellent as was Alvarez, Mahrez, Gundog, Rodri & Stones. However I've got to spare a special mention for KDB.

All season we've been carrying him like a passenger, but these last 4/5 games, he's back to being the Super Kev who makes the difference for us & is unplayable.

Our performance today was tidy, precise & full of endeavour. Trust me, if I were an opposition fan watching this display, I'd be shitting myself! We were THAT good! :-)

I know Grealish will get the plaudits, but Stones in mid is just a standout for me. He reads the game so well that he doesn't have to panic. His positioning is superb, his calmness and ability to find space and make a pass to a free player compliments Rodri's hectic style.

I knew he's make a great mid and I hope Guardiola only uses him in emergencies for defence. His future is in the middle and, unfortunately, that might mean letting Philips go.

As people know, I've stated Rico Lewis isn't ready for this level and Stones shows exactly where he should get to.

Superb individual performance and superb team game.
