Liverpool (H) | Post-Match Thread

And booting him in the head, he knew what he was doing and that's why he ain't involved with the to England squad
He isn’t involved with England because he is utter gash. If it was American football he played he would be just wheeled on to take a few punts at goal. If he isn’t hoofing the ball into the area he is less than useless. If you wear your socks the way he does then you had better be some fucking player, the fact he isn’t just makes him look a bigger twat than he already is.

He’s the equivalent of the lad that wears neon orange boots and demands to play up front despite have the finishing skills of a blind plasterer missing both hands.

Every Sunday league player knows who I am talking about. If you don’t, you’re probably who I am talking about.

How do you know it was a football fan? It wasn’t outside the ground with city fans stood on police vehicles to throw stones unlike in dipperville. Anyone could’ve thrown a stone at their bus, just lucky the open topped one is redundant
How do you know it wasn't? And regardless mate 2 wrongs don't make something right.

Thoroughly enjoyable day. Great atmosphere. Brilliant play by the team. Hard to pick out individual players, the front three were exceptional, De Bruyne and Gundogan doing what they do ar world class standards and generally solid performance by the defence. So pleased that Grealish is coming good.

Whilst that's true, you miss the point of my comment.

We have a fair few CBs and not enough DMs. So much so, we use Bernardo as one.

In my mind (and one or two others) Stones would be great there and fill in as CB if needed. I'm pretty sure the CBs didn't get dragged all over all agame cos of the complete control of the middle. That level has gone up as Stones joins in the middle as he has the CB and Mid sense of positioning and timing.

I'd love him to make that his own, covering Rodri if need be. That would be a great test of his mid abilities.
J.S. has got a touch of the Dave Watson's about him.

Absolutely.

On a completely unrelated topic, I was in Knaresborough last week working and saw Paul Robinson walking his dog.

Nice little town.

It is. A sister lives close by.

We were purring for the first 15 mins in the second half. When we play like that, we are a joy to watch. There is not an English team in my lifetime that could match us at our best under Pep.

Well they weren't wearing any City gear, so who knows who they supported. Could just as easily been rags. If it's a security risk driving two highly conspicuous buses through the middle of Manchester, it's down to the police to deal with the risk, not City

Agreed.

I am actually glad the club have said what they have.

There is no better superiority than actually being superior to others because of their ethical failings and in order to achieve such superiority, you have to act as you would want others to act.

We are better than Liverpool, both as a club and a fan base and we are showing it by actually taking responsibility to call out unacceptable behaviour, even if we aren’t directly responsible.

Contrast that with Liverpool’s response (or lack there of) to nearly every incident involving their club.

You either want to be superior to them or you want us to fall to their level, you can’t have both.

My grandad used to say he only wanted to pay half price at the turnstiles whoever City were playing as he'd only come to watch one team. That would be especially true against L'pool, what an ugly lot they are with their fouls and scowls and screams and Klopp gnashing his teeth. But today grandad would have paid double to see City alone, the joy they put into their football, a thing of beauty that is.
The beautiful game indeed.
A masterclass!
