Firstly…
@super_city_si Considering your pre-match post on Walker not playing…“So you do you agree now :)”
Can’t help, but to agree on the 4 CBs now!
;-)
Thought Stones was outstanding in that role, and Akanji has a great game, too!
Secondly, while the humble pie is still warm, I might as well eat my words on Grealish’s defensive effort, which may have saved the day. Another Salah breakaway goal would have changed the complexion of the game. Superb all around performance from Grealish, though I wish he’d take more shots when cutting across the box on his right foot!
What an absolutely magnificent TEAM performance, especially after going a goal down in the first 20 mins. In fact, I’m struggling to remember a better overall team performance, and domination of a top team, since 1-6 over a decade ago!!
I was flying home from Brussels and, while I was trying to avoid any mention of the game so I could watch it when I got home, the suspense was killing me, so I had to ask Shanwick ATC before he handed us off to Iceland. He was a Scot, so was fairly dispassionate in his delivery of City 4 Liverpool 1. I was not nearly as dispassionate in my thanks for the result! Thankfully, though, I had release the mic key before exclaiming “Get the fuck in!”
Made the rest of the flight much, much happier!!!
He was at it before the game on Talksport too, talking up the scousers and basically writing us off due to no Haaland.Pearce on Cheesys vlog bigging up the dippers and tipping them to do us proves he was a better sparky than manager
One eye on the way to the shops. The other coming back with the changeHis f’in eyes drive me crazy .. they look like they are from different heads
Glad I wasn't on a plane with a Liverpool supporter flying it. "Just a bit of turbulence."Firstly…

Genius? He could have come up with it years ago! It’s genius what Pep has come up with for Stones, we now have a double pivot and Stones has got the capability to take the ball at pressure and look forward. It opens up extra options of passing lanes going forward rather than just Rodri finding them. Probably why we have created and scored a lot more goals recently.
It also stops teams dropping a forward back to mark Rodri when we are trying to play out, as there is not only an extra forward pass available, but the movement is so good, there is an extra “any direction” pass! It’s genius what Pep has come up with for Stones, we now have a double pivot and Stones has got the capability to take the ball at pressure and look forward. We've played lots of players out of position at FB under Pep. None of them have been as shit as Arnold. How shit is Trent, by the way?
Why would they apologise? It's never their fault.Have we (City), at any point in the recent history, had any kind of public apology from LFC for their fans disgusting behaviour?
