Obviously we have every right to be optimistic with our team, manager and home advantage but I also think it would be naive not to know we are playing against a side perfectly set up to exploit our weaknesses. They are generally defensively well organised and quick and effective on the counter. I'll snatch your hand off for a draw right now!
They've only beaten us once in the last five games, and haven't beaten us in the league at home since 2015.

All in our hands. If they score it’ll be a one off long range effort from Henderson Fabinho or Oxlade-Chamberlain, a counter following our mistake or from a Terence Trent pass.

I don’t see any real creativity in their midfield so if we stay calm for the former and shut out the latter, (and knowing that he can’t defend, really test Terence’s hamstrings as Martinelli did a few weeks - but with the end product).

We are the better team, we are at home and the pressure is on them to get a win. Fuck the media bollocks talking them up, keep the faith. As Stones said, shut out the noise, play the way we play. Love that John Boy!

Just looking at this game and why the fuck couldn't it have been played on the Saturday evening?. Would've made more sense as we play Atletico next weds. Sunday to weds isn't great
Sat evening would have been a good stage, extra hour pub warm-up etc, but could have triggered an interesting journey if rags and dippers were sharing trains from Lime St after early Sat rag visit to Goodison..
