Kick off time 16:30 (GMT).

Big game, need the players on it and the crowd right up for it, hopefully the best atmosphere of the season.

We weren't really competitive against them last season, hopefully that's different on Sunday.

They've had a couple of decent wins versus Villa and Real. Lets send them back on that losing streak, go into this international break in good shape.

Same team as Bournemouth for me:
-----------Donnarumma
Nunes---Dias---Gvardiol---O'Reilly
---------Bernardo--Gonzalez
-----Foden----Cherki-----Doku
------------------Haaland

I wish Rodri was fit for this one though.

I imagine Liverpool will lineup unchanged from the Madrid game.

Only possible change from that line-up would be maybe Stones in for Gvardiol, who’s been a bit sloppy at times in possession recently. And maybe Reijnders instead of Bernardo.

I wouldn't argue with Stones coming in, fully fit he should be in there.

The sitting role alongside Gonzalez, I'd like to see Reijnders try it at some point, not sure whether we should do it in this one though.

I think Bernardo is what makes Phil, Cherki and Doku so effective in the middle. He can drop deep to get the ball of the center backs and can drift wide to pull a defender with him and create space.

Very much doubt it. Our record with Dias and Gvardiol at CB has been great since February.

Huge game so early in the season, fuckers seem to have found a little form and will be very dangerous. We need to be on it from the absolute off and until the twat in the middle blows his whistle.

Donnarumma

Nunes Dias Gvardiol O'Reily

Bernardo Gonzalez

Foden Cherki Doku

Haaland

Would be an absolute statement if we can win this and keep pressure on the Arse going into another f@@@ing international break.

Come on City let's put these to the sword.

Not for me. Bernando was great against Bournemouth. Defensively we need to be switched on and I’m not sure Reijnders is that man.

Wouldn't deviate too much from the bournemouth side. Perhaps stones comes in, possibly and/or Ake. Not that he has done anything wrong but i wouldnt be against Pep going for a more natural defender at left back over O'Reilly, Gvardiol or Ake there to take care of Salah.

Dippers have struggled against direct football that bypass their front press and midfield, we have the best striker on the planet who happens to thrive in that approach, we would have to be insane not to utilise that. don't try what Real Madrid did last night and try and control the game playing out through the press, they'll catch us out and punish us. Go over it, get it to our danger men upfront and hit them quickly before they can regroup, that's how 4 teams in a row beat them, we can fo thr same better than any of those sides.

I firmly believe the result of this game is entirely dependent on our approach, setup like bournemouth with a back 4 and 2 midfielders sitting, concede the majority of possession if needs be and attack quickly and we could beat them comfortably, try to bait them and play through their press and we could get well beaten. Its a must win with it being at home.
