I know it might sound bonkers but I think this game might decide the season. It lays down a statement. If we win, the league starts to realise “oh shit they’re back” but if we lose the media will jump on the bandwagon against us again and it will feel like last night and Bournemouth were flukes.
On top of that, we will fall even further behind Arsenal.
We need noise from minute 1 to 90, can’t let Liverpool hear themselves think, just like that 18-19 season.
Defence needs to be spot on, Donnarumma will have to make a couple of big saves I feel.
And of course we need Phil, Cherki and big Erl in full form and absolutely firing.
This is a game that we cannot lose.
Come on city.

One of Real's main problems at Anfield was that Vin Jr had a poor game against Bradley. Real relied on him to create chances and he couldn't do it. Bellingham is a top player, but he isn't a top creator. Cherki is on a different level creativity wise.

If Doku is at his best, Bradley and Liverpool's defence will struggle.

Unfortunately I think they will win.
We play the type of football that plays to their strengths where most of their defeats have been from teams playing direct, with long balls into spaces behind their defence and set pieces, and we know our set pieces are the worst in the PL and no danger to them. And they still have goals right throughout their team including set pieces where we only have Haaland and Foden and Cherki if he plays, who offer any goal threat so I think their CB's will dominate us.
Add to that a Dipper ref and a VAR official that will not want to upset them, its going to be tough.

Considering we now have their ex assistant with us I'm hoping we get our tactics right with his insider knowledge.

Honestly think the winner of this game will probably go on to win the league. The belief and momentum either side will get from a victory will be huge and I can see ourselves or Liverpool going on a massive run as a result.

Now watch it play out to be a draw

Their centre backs these days are weak. VVD and Konate can't dominate anyone, let alone Haaland, Foden, and Cherki. Their fullbacks are also weak. This is not the Klopp team. We played plenty of direct long passes last night and against Bournemouth.

Oh the numbers look good, but we've given up so many chances, it feels like we've been riding our luck a bit.

The last 15 minutes of the derby was a typical example - reminiscent of last season's run-in, when I'd never seen so many glaring opportunities missed, or so many balls hit our woodwork.

I don't think Ekitike will be missing many of those chances.

Still, it would be unrealistic to expect things to change overnight, at least we are looking lively up the other end. I fancy us to sneak it on Sunday.
If you have watched their games, they are giving up plenty of chances. We have our shooting boots on on Sunday, I'd say we win. Also I love Foden's form at the moment. He has a good record against Liverpool and I fancy him to get at least one.

Nervous for this game, personally. I think we're playing well transition-wise but not dominating games which may work in our favour against a Dippers side who are poor defensively.

Though typically they seem to have sorted themselves out in the past week or so just in time for us. I like Wirtz as a player and think he'll play well against us if we give him space. Maddison always has a stormer against us for the same reason.

I'd personally stick with the side from Bournemouth but get Rodri in for Cherki if he's fit enough to start and put Foden out wide. Bernie has to start, he hates these fuckers and it shows whenever we play them. It's a big game and there's no better big game players/runners than Bernie. But he has to play centrally, not out wide.

Their full backs are shit - Robertson is getting on and is starting to dive into tackles rather than get in a race while Kerkez has lost confidence and I don't rate that Bradley too highly, another one who seems to dive in - I think Doku would have either on toast.

We've got a tough game away at Newcastle (under the lights too!) after the international break too so a win going into it would do wonders.

I’d go with that team also.

As well as Nunes is playing, I’d be half tempted to play Khusanov at right back. He strikes me as a ‘big game player’ who rises to the occasion in the most challenging situations.

Just can't see that happening. There is a chance Bobb or Khusanov might not even make the panel.

Three points in November decides nothing. The game will be heavily scrutinised by the media who will make a lot of noise but I think most blues have learned by now to keep our own counsel. I've seen enough to be convinced that City are on our way back, and are going to go the distance whatever the result of one match.

We’ve just beat Bournemouth by playing it behind and through the channels. What are you on about?
