Was always going to happen. The awful museum that was built next to the three beautiful buildings was the start. The development along the dockside have paid no attention to the World Heritage site.

What amazes me is that the new Everton stadium has been used as a reason to take the award away. I was there on Saturday and noticed how far it is from Pier Head. It looks like a mess near the stadium site now and will only improve the whole area at Bramley Dock.

On a serious note, a nice new stadium will improve the area UNESCO seem to just want iconic old stuff from way back when suppose the clues in the name Heritage.

That was the extension to the National Gallery. So they built it in Victorian classical greek style, and it is boring. Look at the plans and impressions that Charlie objected to and it would have been marvellous. And he was lying...the site is not 'on the face', it is round the corner.
