Missing out on the Europa next year probably wouldn't be a bad thing for Liverpool.

For us it's still a novelty, but lets face it for them the group games are going to be no more than a pain in the arse.

completely wrong mate because the position liverpool are in debt wise they need this more than anybody!

You earn next to nothing from the Europa League!

you still earn revenue by being in it rather than not being in it looking at gate receipts alone so it would still cost them big time.

Not sure I agree with you on that one pal. You get more from finishing a couple of places higher up the league table. Maybe they would have a better chance of doing that if they weren't playing in the Ukraine on a Thursday night!

30,000 x £20 average ticket price = £600k and then add any TV monies.

It's not Champions league type dosh, but for the bindippers it's still worth having.

yeah, portsmouth aren't allowed (if the win the FA CUP) because of there bad financial management, which i think is wrong, aren't the scousers and the rags in more debt than them?, yet still allowed to play in europe next season O_o, favouritism me thinks.

As much debt as they maybe in, Scum and Dippers pay the Taxman, they pay their wages and everyone they owe, Portsmouth broke all the rules and went into administration owing everyone, so does it makes sense to me to punish them.

UEFA rules state you cannot have a European licence is you are in administration. Thats the situation Portsmouth are in so they have to lie in it

It not about favouritism for one and not the other. Its just Fact

To be fair the country pay their taxes, the social then pays the people of Liverpool, the Liverpudlians then pay Liverpool FC for the pleasure of watching a fat spanish waiter lead them to 7th in the league, Liverpool FC then pay the wages of the fat spanish waiters poor buys, the taxman etc etc and ultimately the banks who they have shedloads of debt with.

Those are the FACTS

What happens if Fulham win the Europa League Final?

They should take a place next season as Cup winners instead of Liverpool.
as far as i know if fulham win it they are back regardless of the league. if they win it, burnley might get the fair play qualification. if burnley for some reason arent registered, fulham will get it.

they'll be back in europe 99%

This thread is total bollocks. Even if Portsmouth were going to be eligible for Europe (which they won't), it wouldn't matter whether they won the cup. They are in the final and Chelsea have qualified fro the CL.

Not quite total bollocks as you can't qualify for Europe as runners-up anymore.

That's wrong, sorry. There was a rumour about this, and the FA were discussing it. However, they rejected the idea after a week or so of negotiation. Unfortunately, it seems a large majority of people didn't hear about that, and believe that they enacted the rule.

So just to clarify - FA cup runners-up CAN still qualify for Europe if the winner is already qualified.
