Really looking forward to this now. Not usually that bothered about the Charity Shield as it’s essentially just another pre-season friendly, but that fact it’s against Liverpool makes it more meaningful. Would be nice to make an early statement of intent.

Strange one the Charity/Community shield, it basically passes most neutrals by.
Obviously I remember the ones City are in, but apart from the one where Kevin Keegan and Billy Bremner ended up scrapping back in the 70s , I really don't recall too many.
(Most 'neutral 'FA Cup and League Cup finals I do at least have some memory of!)
Can't say I was massively bothered last year against Leicester. Tomorrow I guess is a bit different, if only to shut our totally impartial media up. If they win it will obviously be the start of the quest for the unprecedented Quindruple(is that a word??) If we win the press will just dismiss it as a another pointless friendly!

Let’s compare ours to theirs. How often in the time pep has been here (which all that time klopp has been here) has pep got close to Klopps actions? One offs, possibly. It’s constant from the gurning twat. We lose and pep smiles more than when we win, I hate it sometimes but he’s incredibly humble either way. Complains about the weather, how the other side has played because they’ve not played into their hands, complains about spending then spends a shit load himself.
