I've seen it loads of times thanks. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that it was a cynical foul

I despise the feral scouse twats and I was furious on the day, but IMO looking at it sober from all angles, it was no more than the level of tackle that we see a dozen times in every game. Cynical definitely though in the way that our own defenders regularly knock a player out of their stride / commit an innocuous minor foul to prevent a breakaway but not cynical inasmuch as it was aimed to or warranted the level of injury.

And it’s good that you responded, thanks, as it might encourage others to actually go onto YouTube and look at the tackle to see that there was no intent to injure and the injury was a freak event under the circumstances - maybe help keep us all real.

Beyond that, I can’t blame you for wearing the blue tints on a day like today mate, and I’ll be putting mine on myself at about 4pm when the coverage kicks off.
Just hoping we can give the feral‘s a drubbing to set the tone for the start of the actual season.

Expecting the "Facebook researchers" (sorry if a bit harsh, just have very little respect for no-vaccine guys) to start to get fitness, rest of the team will probably be pretty much first choice expect I have a sneaky feeling Alvarez will start over Haaland.

As for game, I think quite an open game. We'll get more chances but they'll be more clinical. Draw in the end and coinflip on pens.

Ortega or Ederson today?

Pep usually plays second goalie in the charity shield although that might be down to Eddie usually being fairly late back for the new season.

I’d like to see us put out a very strong team but understand that we may not. Some of those liverpool players will be out to crock some of ours. I’d have loved to see Robertson try to play the way he does with a prime Duncan Ferguson on the pitch, he would probably get driven into the ground like a tent peg.

I could see Haaland on the bench, maybe Grealish too as he started the 2 pre season games and there might be other players Pep wants to give a run out

I hope Jack starts though, he was really good and sharp over in USA and I’d like to see him keep that momentum going, especially if Haaland is playing.

This match is like a ' free hit ' before the real business starts in earnest next week.
Would hope we put a full strength team out but knowing Pep it will be a mixture of first and second string players.
Anyway I would just love to beat this shower by 2 or 3 goals. Here's hoping!
