Our main concern for this game is midfield.
CBs don't run as much as midfielders and can play more games. Plus, we have options in Dias and Ake.
FBs: Pep likes to say that Cancelo is extraordinarily fit and can play every 2 days. If true, shouldn't be a problem. Ake/Zinch may be used at LB, they should be fresh.
Forwards/wingers: Jesus, Sterling and Grealish must be fresh. Foden is only 21 y.o, he should recover relatively quickly. Mahrez will be an option from the bench.
Midfield: KDB out injured, Rodri and Bernardo played vs Liverpool and both games with Atletico, that's a problem. Bernardo was subbed with 10-15 minutes to go, hopefully this will help him play an hour or so. Gundogan is going to play, but won't be fresh enough to play the whole game.
One possible way to solve the midfield problem is to play with 3 CBs and use Cancelo as a WB.
3-5-2: Stones, Laporte/Dias, Ake--Cancelo, Zinchenko--Ferna/Rodri, Gundo/Bernardo, Grealish/Foden--Raz and Jesus.
Think Pep is forced to "overthink" this game and come up with a surprising plan in order to use fresher players and give us a proper chance.
