What a pathetic display.

Pep hasn't got a clue in the Premier League. Great coach in Spain, great coach in Germany, but he does not 'get' English football and isn't adapting. Whether Pep likes it or not, English football is extremely physical and direct and he must adapt. Conte has adapted very easily and is dominated the league.

Just look at Liverpool's goal. That free kick should go to the back post where our big players aim to win the header. A chipped pass out to the touch line - what on earth is that? No attempt to stop the cross from Zabaleta. Terrible defending at the back post from Kolarov. Basic, basic things for defenders in English football.

I'm not sure we'll finish top four with this group of players, United are three points behind and they'll get more points than us between now and the end of the season.

Our record in big games over the last 2 years is downright embarrassing when you consider the money spent.

The trouble is we don't have any big players !

I expected a draw or loss today because our form has been poor and against an intense team we would struggle. This result didn't bother me as much as against Leicester, Everton, boro, etc. The earlier we know who shouldn't be in the first team the better. Get a few January signings.

Got to wonder why Pep thought spending 17m on Bravo and shipping out Hart was a bigger priority to the rest of the defense.

I am still not sure what the system but its obvious we can't create chances in the final third. We played well when we look to counter attack like we did against barca.

Forced ZERO saves against one or the worst defenses in the league. Wonder why we didn't win??? Hmmm

firstly Liverpool are fucking average we just seem to be a little worse than them.

Secondly our attack is a joke. Sterling was our biggest threat the other big 3 were wank. Special mentions to KDB and Aguero.

Thirdly Aguero is useless against these type of teams without a big partner by his side for him to feed off. e.g Dzeko/Negredo

Fourthly our full backs offer zero attacking threat, this makes it so much easier to defend our front 4.

Fifthly our whole back 5 is just shit. I love Zaba but that was horrific how he didn't even try to block that cross.

Just a fucking shit performance.

I think the worst thing you can say about us is that we are just boring. We are genuinely dull to watch. We have become the team that Van Gaal was slated by the rags for being. Lots and lots of possession with minimal end product, relying on the odd moments of brilliance from de Bruyne/Mata, Aguero/Rooney, Sterling/Martial, Iheanacho/Rashford to get us 3 points.

Yep. Scary, isn't it.

Well we were outclassed, outfought and beaten badly, completely out of the game well before full time.
In both league fixtures last year.

This time, with practically the same team and against a Liverpool team in better shape, and despite the shock of an early goal conceded, not so much.

Could do better?
Yes.

But if the team improved half as much over the next year as we already saw today, that will be enough.

Add Gabriel jesus, Sane and younger, fitter full backs and we will see how they cope.

We weren't outclassed at all.
