Liverpool - post match thread.

Well we did all we could, missed a chance or two but again we were cheated out of that one. Admittedly I didn't see either first time but Clichy got the ball and it was a pen and red card for the foul on Sterling. Good fight from us, nice goal KDB and Sergio, I'll give Silva motm as he played well through another battering, hope the next ref is better.

cold hard facts - 7 goals in 7 games......

why get rid of him....? we don't need to, we can keep him and Jesus happy at the same time

If we sell him who do we get that is any better?

If he hadn't have got one we wouldn't even have the point we do

There are some people on here who have very strange and suspect attitudes towards Kun at times.....

Like I said, we as fans love the guy, he has been maybe the best striker that I have eve seen in a blue shirt but I just think that Pep doesn't really trust him. Nothing would please me more than seeing him here next season and beyond. I just have my doubts that he will be and while I can't argue that he has 7 goals in 7 games is could and should have been more.

Pep dont want to talk about the referee well the referees we love this and that Tw.At Riley! These referees are like Bullies you keep turning up and being shat on day in day out.

But we are outplaying them, this one was closer but we were far better than Chelsea & Spurs at home, and far better than United at their place. Wouldn't have happened the past couple of seasons. We've been unlucky in terms of the final score, but that will come.

Give us a couple of decent fullbacks & a bit more depth on the bench, with the deadweight trimmed, and we'll be strong next season. Just a matter of getting through this year.

That's what I meant you did outplay them.

Their penalty was not stonewall. Ours was and yet it wasn't given.
I think the both were penalties, but Sterling should have attacked the ball. Anyway, it doesn't matter, the first half was horrific. Was there a shot on target? I can't remember it.. Why can't we shoot from 25-30m? De Bruyne and Yaya are both great at it.

Good performance, very unlucky not to win, while also highlighting the areas we need improving. Neither fullback up to scratch, Yaya past it and Kev is far too hit and miss in midfield when he's in bad form. Need to take our chances, need referees to stop being fucking cheats.

Great from Silva, while I think both wingers and Aguero had good games other than their finishing. Both CB's had pretty decent games under a lot of pressure, with so little help being offered by Yaya, Kev and the fullbacks.

fucking correct, sergio was fucked and snatched at the chances a fresh aguero would of buried those,7 goals in 7 games and people are saying he isn't what we need.

It happens when ever an exciting new signing is brought in...the original player is criticised at every opportunity and unfairly..(shinny new toy syndrome)

people are trying to justify GJ inclusion when he gets back. We are all desperate to see him play again but I want to see them both in the same side at times.....

Also for instance today i thought Sane didnt do enough...in other games its Kun and in other games its sterling...having one of them on the bench fresh to rotate in is an absolute must....imagine those last 20 mins with a pari of fresh legs upfront....no matter who it is.....

I'll take that. Good game I thought.

Hopefully United and Arsenal drop points.

United have
City
Chelsea
Arsenal
Tottenham
Everton

Left to play. Unbelievable.

The Manchester derby will be interesting. City loss would be worst for us

From where I was in the South Stand I didn't get a great view of Sterlings miss in the first half and it looked easier to score, but then I heard I was a clear pen ,was it a stonewall job?

Admittedly the ref was diabolical and bottled. Why the Lino never flagged is a conspiracy too. If it had been the other end he would have been waving like a teenage girl at a 1D concert. Makes my blood boil. It would be interesting to hear why he didn't give it.
We are not ruthless or clinical. Shooting practice at training might be a good idea.

Just seen the Pep interview on sky.

Listen, for all the times city have frustrated me and all of us this season, the more I hear him speak the more he impresses me. That wanker stelling was trying his best to bait him today and get him to say something they could write about tomorrow. Pep did not flinch and correctly defended his players.

He also had a very nice dig at the absolute undeniable corruption of referees in this country and ended by again staying positive.

The league has gone this season, which is a huge disappointment given the competition we were up against, next year will be harder to win it but a decent summer of ins and outs in the market and next season I believe we will terrify this league.

Onwards now to the fa cup, it would make my life if we get to beat spurs in the final. Those bastards owe the 10yr old me an apology for the hurt, angst, and decades of regret they inflicted on me in 81.

Onwards, forwards, and upwards.
