Ade's form will get better too seeing as he still must be a bit rusty..

let us not forget that our display last week against burnley will have all the teams in the prem thinking long and hard about us.!!

I know it was only burnley (as we keep getting it rammed down our throats) but if it was that easy to score 5 goals in the first half away to a lesser team that is fighting relegation....

Then why hasnt it been done before it the prem ??

I've amended my post and we are now 4th!!!!!!
 
we can afford to lose our game in hand and another and we would still be a point ahead of the dippers. so if we lose against arsenal and the rags and win the other 4, even if liverpool were to win their last 5 games we would be ahead of them.

as for spurs, the best they can hope for from their next 3 league games against arsenal, chelski and the rags is a point at home against arsenal.

so by the time we have played arsenal and spurs have played the rags i put us 3 points ahead of spurs, with liverpool 2 points ahead of us, having beaten Fulham, west ham and burnley, but we have a game in hand.

then if we beat villa (h) spurs (h) and west ham (a) its done and dusted even if villa win all their other games.

but if liverpool were to lose against chelsea we could afford a draw at home against spurs and still make 4th.


does that make sense???
 
spurs play in the fa cup on the 11th and 3 days later play arsenal at home

That will be very interesting, hopefully they will be knackered.

Still a tough one to call with all the gunners injuries
 
Not bothered about what anyone else doe's now tbh, it's in our own hands and we'd have all taken this at the start of the season.
We look like we're coming into form just at the right time with players to come back and no distractions like the FA Cup/Europa Cup to worry about.
 
The way they have absolutely terrorised teams over the last few weeks (in fact months) leads me to believe they are almost certainly on the verge of the 5 match winning streak that they need.

they didn't terrorise either wigam or brum
 
I think spuds will get 4 points from their next 3 games and that would be acceptable against the teams they are playing so as long as we get 3 points on sunday its looking good, am not looking past that game for us, lets get it won and assess again

Yes, being very sarcastic. It amazes me how many people fear Liverpool when there have been very few signs of them being anything other than pretty shit. People keep banging on about their easy run in but when you have scored 4 away goals in 4 months, no run in is easy. They might get 4th, I suppose, but there is virtually no evidence to suggest they have much of a chance.
 
Cant see Liverpool picking up anymore than 10 points from there 5 games.

A draw at home to Fulham on Sunday, defeat by Chelsea and they should be dead and buried, can see them finishing 7th and sneaking into the europha league by winning it.
 
I've seen some ridiculous suggestions on here that it's only between us and Spurs for the 4th placed spot .......... of course it isn't!

Liverpool are still very much in the mix , of course they are ....... and i'd hardly rule Villa out yet either!

Technically you are right but for Liverpool to get 4th, both us and Spurs will have to have dire run ins and Liverpool will have to suddenly start winning pretty much every game. Of course they aren't completely out of it and they might suddenly hit form from nowhere but have you seen any signs in the last few months that Liverpool can beat Chelsea at home and win both their away matches? I haven't. I see Villa as more of a threat.
 
putting a bet on the master golf this lunch and asked re 4th spot prices.
