If its nailed on, money is in place and all that how come the connected people on RAWK etc know nothing about it?

I can guarantee you that if it were even remotely close they would have exploded with joy.

Did we know about Mansour before it happened? No. Same will be the scenario in this case. The real takeovers are done on the quiet. As I said, I expect things to go public very shortly.

I agree that the best takeovers are done quickly, with little or no public knowledge. However this sint a normal takeover and it is being watched by literally of thousands of people 24 hours a day!

True, true. As I said, if it's all crap then I'll take the hit but my info is from 2 separate sources that are usually very good when it comes to Liverpool so I reckon it to be true. This is the 1st thread I've started so you'll appreciate I don't go for posting crap if I can help it lol ;o).

You look at the big takeovers of clubs in England. Nobody new that Chelsea , City or even Villa were going to be taken over until everything was signed. We all knew there were rumours of a take over but didnt know who was involved in the said take over until it was signed.

Regarding Liverpool I dont think any of those interested in taking Liverpool will do anything yet. They will wait until they can get Liverpool for a knock down price. We were lucky we never over priced us. Liverpool have done and they need major work on both Stadium and players in the coming years. To build a new stadium now would be madness and banks at the moment will not lend the money to the extremes of years ago. We are lucky our owner is rich he doesnt need to go to a back looking to refinace the club or anything like that.

I would guess there are people looking at Liverpool no doubt but I can see those waiting until the last minute so they get the best deal by then Liverpool will have to sell. So for a new owner can you imagine buying Liverpool without Gerrard , Torres and Reina they will need to build a new team.

I would guess there are people looking at Liverpool no doubt but I can see those waiting until the last minute so they get the best deal by then Liverpool will have to sell. So for a new owner can you imagine buying Liverpool without Gerrard , Torres and Reina they will need to build a new team.

Which would be when RBS takeover (next week effectively) as they'll sell just to cover all their debt and then move on. Liverpool would be cheap at the price and their "star" players will still be on board.......

O went on a dipper forum a while back as a wind-up and asked for Thaksin to takeover. Some of them were that desperate they even agreed with me!

Also, another snippet of info is I was told that when RBS introduced the penalty payments, they put in a clause saying they could convert the £2.5m per year into equity. This means they will not put the LFC into administration, because they’ll own it.

As we the tax payers currently own 81% of RBS ..... we will in effect own Liverpool FC.

this is why if rbs take posetion they will have to dump the club asap 'on the cheap' there would be questions asked if they had other interests than financial

Exactly which is probably why we are hearing about movement now as buyers move in for the kill.
