Liverpool - the most overated set of daytripping fans ever

I doubt we'll be any diffierent unless we build a huge stadium and have it all with really cheap tickets.

City and the COMS has all this pleasure to come when you finally land some silverware!

Family-friendly stadia and prices to match, higher expectations and impatience, global marketing and bigger club profile, more regular tv exposure and regular foreign away trips... all these beautiful things will soon come to a stadium near you and then you will have a battle on to retain your identity and keep the gold-digging, day-tripping, glory-hunters at bay

Trust me on this

Already happens on a small scale, the Premier League being beamed everywhere helps make it worse (even though there were games shown abroad before the PL). Hopefully it will stay cheap enough (6% reduction next year) so the real fans can keep their season cards and the football tourists struggle to get in.

Well there is always your noisy neighbours to attract the glory-hunters I suppose but one piece of silver could soon get the 'sleepers' clamouring for City tickets again. I hope your owners don't try to price the genuine fans out of the equation, I'm sure they wouldn't get away with it, especially up north, but success often breeds greed. Liverpool had been infamous for glory-hunters in the past but things were on an even (ish) keel pre-Istanbul, not so since! With the new-found support comes impatience and ignorance of what it truly means to support your local club and it can infect the rest of the support to intolerable levels.

The correct model, and to their credit Man Utd used to do this. is fleece all the coperate sections in order to keep the prices for normal fans low. They gave up doing this a good 5 or 6 years ago though.

True, Utd used their corporate 'fans' well in the beginning but now they can afford to piss as many fans off as they want, eg: automatic cup scheme etc, and they almost always sell out but then they are being very successful at the moment so its easier for them. Wembley is doing the same as we can see from the huge gaps of empty expensive seats in the half time interval and afterwards. Its sometimes hard to plan for the winter when everything is rosy in the garden....

Rags have been struggling to sell tickets for there cup games, seems the credit crunch affects everyone then!

Well done everyone that went today...

Great support, great performance!

The two go hand in hand, now let's get COMS rocking on Thursday and get the boys through to the last 16.

100% correct.

Not as bad as the scum.

They WON against Blackbin and the fans were almost booing them off the pitch because it wasn't a 10/10 performance.

They WON FFS!!!

God I hate them twats. Their in a final this weekend and not one single red bastard has mentioned it, they're not bothered, it's just 'another final'. Bastards!

If it were City, there'd be posters, advertisements, people talking, people getting excited, PEOPLE APPRECIATIVE, but no, it's them cheating fucks that EXPECT all the fucking time.

Shit fans the lot of them.
