Liverpool Thread 2011/12

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012

How is the investigation into that kit deal going? RE: links to owners and unfair market value...That kind of thing seemed like an important topic to Kenny earlier in the season.

Yes, but Istree, case closed.

That kit looks quite decent and certainly one of the better ones that been shown so far (utds and arsenals looking terrible). I wonder if the majority of scousers actually care that much about the hillsborough related problems with the kit.

Same here. Look at this post

Well done to City i'm really really genuinely happy for the club and their long suffering fans, they deserve it. Anyone who says they bought the title is stupid, you have to buy the title in this day and age. you need the best players and money behind you to compete and that's exactly what City have done, they've invested in the squad and it's bared it's fruit. We will have to do this if we are going to go for the title, granted we won't be able to compete money wise with City but the owners are going to have reinvest in the team to get in better players and that costs serious money and there are more teams competing now for honours than ever before.

I don't begrudge City for winning the title, as fans they have endured a horrid time because not only have they had to play second fiddle to the scum for decades, but they've also had to endure seeing their team relegated over the years while their rivals have won trophy after trophy, just looking on and being ridiculed for being the second team in Manchester. You can't even compare them to Everton City because Everton haven't been relegated they've always been in the top tier, so City do deserve their success because they've had a hell of a long wait and have owners who have invested heavily to try and bring the title to City finally!

So well done to them

They were some of the first to point out that 'RIP Fergie' was in reference to rednose's not in my lifetime. The worst you can accuse them of is being too loyal and optimistic, not sure if that's even a bad thing. Great fans.

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012

The vast majority of teams supporters were willing us to win, because they know where we have been and they know how arrogant and hypocritical United are. The whole league since 1992 has had "the glory that is United", forced down its throats by the media at every turn. Yes they've won trophies, no one's denying that, but at times it has bordered on propaganda! Retaining our sense of humour, from "were not really here", to "you're not incredible", but to shame those *astards who have been milking the munich tragedy for every penny and ounce of sympathy (which they have been given), put then game after game haul up "Instanbul Reds" and the like with impunity. The coin and bottle throwing in succesive derbies, brought not a mention, or a condemnation from the staunch rag media, which has serious issues when it comes to factual history. So to my brother in law an ex Everton and Liverpool trainee, career halted by cruicate damage and a dyed in the wool dipper, who screamed the house down when we won, the enemy, of my enemy, the rest is well known.
All over the place with this, but I think the fact that we have won at 15:29 on tuesday 15th 2012 is finally sinking in!
