My first text after the game today was from a match-going Liverpool fan offering his congratulations.

They've got many, many decent supporters, but more than their fair share of pricks too it needs saying.

Like all teams bar the scum, who when it comes to football are just the lowest of the low. I've had a couple of texts congratulating us from my dipper mates, which is 2 more than i got from any Rag in 2012. In fact the rags i know still havent congratulated me on that day, which says it all.

Me too - the Liverpool fan that texted me after the game is a top bloke who I've known through work for the past 25 years. At the start of the season he gave me a City shirt from the 11-12 title season worn by Silva and signed by the players that his company had bought at a charity auction.

Forget 1977 i have never forgiven the cunts for helping relegate us when they drew 2-2 against us and that half-wit with the radio was telling people we only needed a draw.

That was bad enough but as we all waited in the ground for the other results to come through to see if we were down or not,when the announcer made them confirming we were relegated they cheered!

We also lost 6-0 to them at Anfield and as we were relegated on goal difference i hold them responsible more than most,so you see we have been on the receiving end of goal difference too.

They were winning everything in those days and indeed they had the cup final next week against the rags,but they still revelled in our misery.Loving seeing them crying now,just loving it!!

their players on that day did their level best to let us win. they were side footing shots in front of goal back to our keeper. iirc they scored with 2 deflections. they were gutted when they went in. you could see it in their body language.

He also captained the under 10s junior blue team to victory over stretford vics in 1969 (sponsored by the city chippy), you can question his haircut but when it comes to him being a "fucking idiot" I draw the line pal......
