I agree, he isn't world class but 13 goals and 10 assists in 35 games last season was a pretty decent return, for a third choice striker I think he is a good choice.
He's ok,I wouldn't go as far as good. He's made a great career for himself given that he's spent most of his career as a lower league player, but he's very pretty average at everything except penalties. It strikes me as a very odd move to pay so much for someone so unremarkable. I nearly pissed myself when I heard the Ricky Lambert deal well and truly screwed for a average player that none of the top 4 teams should be signing.

He's great in the air and he is a clinical finisher. He is a good choice for third striker to bring on late in a game or if you want to rest your key strikers. I can understand the logic of them wanting him just not the price.
