Quite impressed with their potential signings. Mkhitaryan is brilliant, Aspas was one of the "best of the rest" in La Liga last season, and Atsu from Porto very good. Don't know much about Luis Alberto who they are signing from Sevilla but Mignolet will be a good replacement for Reina.

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012/13

They are a big club with a massive history. The thing is they have a pretty indifferent present and recent past. The question is whether with astute signings and good use of the money they do have available, they can get back in the top 4. To me, it looks a long road to drive, but I wouldn't mark it impossible. They are in a similar bracket to Spurs, and Spurs are sort of there or thereabouts. Football is a strange game.

Anyway, they have a lot more chance than (say) WBA or Stoke, who have no chance at all.

Liverpool club good. In the 2013/14 season, mobility is not great. Worth the wait.

Agree. got a good mate who's a scouser and for the first time in what seems like an age he's actually being positive about their upcoming season.

Key for them is going to be what happens to the Suarez money. If they give Rodgers that on top of the signings you've mentioned above, and he spends it wisely, they'll challenge for a place in the top 4.

I am putting some money on them finishing top 4 (4th obviously) I think they have the spine of a team and have made some good signings
