There has always been a parade every pre season for years of delusional mickey mousers throughout the jackal media declaring that this is their year.
Its like waiting to hear the first cuckoo.
A sign the season is approaching.
Not heard it yet this year but certain the clowns will reappear yet again, odds on its the half witted Mickey Quinn to start trumpeting first and maybe Brendon waving his envelopes behind him.

If as looks likely they are losing Suarez and Reina they have a fairly small number of quality mature players.
Agger, Gerrard (fairly injury prone) and Leiva being the only ones I rate at all highly though Enrique and Johnson are not too bad.
Most of the players they are linked with are very young and play in secondary leagues, the step up for them will be pretty big however talented.
They may play some attractive football and on their day be a threat to anyone but I cannot see them being consistent enough to challenge for a top four place when the current top four are all showing signs of signing more quality players.
If they are quality players who they sign and they can keep the best of them (Unlike Suarez, Torres etc.) they may well be a strong team in two to three years.

You can't let Mascherano, Alonso, Suarez and Reina et al go and then get players from Swansea and Sunderland and hope for top four.

I think they're fucked even if the press try and tell us otherwise.

Just watched a bit of that Luis Alberto they've just signed and I can honestly say our EDS have released better than him.

LFC fan here, come in peace - not to troll etc.

Was reading up on who MCFC would sign and noticed the Liverpool thread, makes amusing reading :)

This comment made me sign up, two reasons - Firstly, who are EDS? Secondly, have y'all read this piece on the next gen series? <a class="postlink" href="http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-sized-task-facing-pellegrini-city-4571034" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/ ... ty-4571034</a>

Oh, and lastly...sligthly off topic...I do like that Guidetti lad - do you think he'll break into your team with Pellegrini focussing on bringing youth through?

Cheers

Jimi
