Rodgers interview on BBC is class. He cites the difference between Chelsea and Liverpool is because Chelsea have introduced 3 new players to their starting line up (Fabregas, Costa and Matic??). Whereas Liverpool have lost 3 players from last seasons starting line up - Suarez, Sturrudge and Flanagan. Flanagan?? For fucks sake.

Lambert.

Lovren.

Lallana.

Balotelli.

Can.

yes this had kind of occurred to me............. yes they lost players but Brenda did splash the cash on new recruits ... he is fucking clueless

Don't forget.

Any team that spends over £100 million should be challenging for the title.

I'm not complaining because it's hilarious to watch but how is Rodgers still in a job? Any of City united Chelsea or Arsenal would of sacked him long ago had he performed like he has with what he's had available to him. He's a number 2 with idea's well above his station that seems to be living off achieving the odd flukey result with his baffling formations. Now he's ruined Liverpools best chance to become a top team again for the foreseeable future and allowed United back in i hope they tie him down to a long term contract. We need a good comedy club, especially if Newcastle go down.

The thing is they haven't won the league in 25 years with several different managers. They have come close a number of times but then go back to mediocre. So in that light getting 5th is probably not so bad for Brenda.

He has credit because of last year. Look at rags this season or Dormant in Bundesliga if you think a big name manager change guarantees success.

There is a tension between continuity and positive change.

Another thing--mistakes for me are acceptable provided it's not the same mistakes over and over.

Lastly, England's the only league with a top 4. Rags will spend 200m over themail summer, Mourinho will still be there, Arsenal are 4th place experts slowly growing more mature, and you will not be complacent again.

Reality is reality, I just want us to give as good a go as we can, and to win a trophy (IMO we should be humble and try to win Europa or one of the domestic cups).

If Liverpool have any ambition, they will throw everything they have at Klopp. It's an ideal project for him unless he fancies a mega-budget Champions League club. Expectations aren't too high at Liverpool and he could build a team on a medium budget with time on his side, considering how long Rodgers has had. They already have a team more suited to Kloppball than City because they are capable of fast counterattacking and good pressing when they're up for it (like they always are against City even more than United now for some reason).

More wise words from Rodgers ref guard if honour . "Liverpool I repeat is a club of class, humility and respect"

Some fucker show him an Heysel video and see if he still comes out with such fucking shite.

God i hate the ****!

Don't be silly that was Chelsea fans.

Brenda is a fraud he plays to the fans but a a long term manager the guy is a joke
he comes across as if he was breast fed on the kop and the stupid scousers just lap it up
When they sold the only world class player they had a good manager would have told the transfer committee to fvck right off of he should have walked if he had done this at the end of last season he would have had enough good will behind him to get away with it Mind you he would have had nowhere to hide if he had bought this badly.
