Liverpool Thread 2014/15

I think it's a fucking disgrace what Liverpool are doing to Southampton atm, and even more apparent the lack of any media attention highlighting it.

Yeah Liverpool have paid good prices for their players, and yes I know Soton have to accept the bid, but fuck me, three players (Could be 4 or 5) from one club in one window? That's a fucking joke. I'd be so fucked off with Liverpool if I was a Soton fan. They'll struggle to stay up next year, stupid from their owners to accept the transfer but it's the age of player power (as we're seeing with Schneirderlin now) , but then again if I saw everyone leaving then I'd probably do the same. Why stick around when the owners lack of ambition is for all to see.

Meanwhile Rodgers is lauded as the messiah when he's ripped a clubs spine apart.

I wonder what would have happened if when we were first bought out we bought 3 players from one club in one window.... wonder if it would have been just ignored.

We bought Barry and Millner from Villa, not sure if it was the same season though.Look you know by now only we rip other clubs apart and ruin football and spend loads of money.

Southampton are a perfect example of why FFP will never work and the dreamers are talking utter bollocks when they think a small club,or almost any club, can build a team from scratch and compete at the top. Those days ended with Cloughie and Forest.

What makes me laugh about brendan double standard rodgers is the way he went on last season about the fact that liverpool dont build teams ( like man city who just buy all there players ) well brendan were are all these local lads that you proclaim to be the way to build your future liverpool teams? The fact is that everyone's teams are 90% made up of players bought on transfer market. Rodgers is like a kid in a sweet shop trying to buy everyone and anyone. Imo I think the season suarez had last year, not just his goals but his assists and general play was absolutely phenomenal, lets see how the great brendan rodgers does this season integrating all his new signings. Will struggle to make top 4 imo

Listen, all..

You should not write Liverpool off this year, just because of Suarez leaving. Just wait, you'll see. Mark my words.

I'm pretty sure Hughes bought Gareth and Bobby Manc bought Jimmy.

Not sure but we still weakened them considerably and in effect removed them as one of our rivals for a top four place.

In typical "respectful" Rodgers fashion, he stopped again today to pay his respects and "unite" Liverpool with those affected by another tragedy of our time.

That's the sort of thing I was suggesting in an earlier post

Where'd you think I got the idea from? Although I should have quoted you I guess, I apologise!

They'll be building a flower shop and a funeral directors onto the side of their club shop at this rate.

It's rumoured that all the Hearses on Merseyside are to be painted red...

Red is the new black on Merseyside don't you know?
