Liverpool thread 2017/18

Looks like Coutinho is off to Barca. Personally I don't think he's up to the level that Barca require but he will be a pretty big miss for Liverpool

They need more players, not less

That's a shame. I'd like them to at least be competitive.

Normally I'd say he was a player currently in the £60/70mil bracket however with the way this summer is going, added to the dippers being well aware of Barca's bulging pockets, then I'd say that it'll be in the £80/90mil bracket that they will need to pay to get him.

Just had a quick nosy on rawk to see what the general consensus was on the Coutinho situation.

They really are a bunch of fucking weirdos. Every time there is something newsworthy about their club or one of their players they lock the thread. What's the point in having a discussion forum if you're not allowed to discuss relevant subjects? How fragile must they be?

Oddballs.

Dont cry to much for there lose of Coutinho, i agree he is great player. but that means its a BIG chance they will get Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a player I think would be a great fit for Liverpool, a long with another player.
I like Liverpool, like if they would be strong contender for PL and reach the 1/4 in CL.
as long as they get infront of The rags i am happy :))

The support is very fractured at the minute between FSG In or Out. Very similar to Arsenal although their ire is mainly for Wenger instead of Kroenke who is more responsible. Watch it explode if as looks very likely Coutinho is sold to Barca in this window.

Serious question, who do you support mate? No problem who ever it is, just interested.

According to twitter Klippity has said there are no more incomings for the Dippers

Before the window they are going to spend £160m on Salah, VVD and Keita and that they are "showing some intent" and proving that they are a big club and that they can compete with anyone.

After the window closes with their massive profit from transferring dealings, they are making a stand against the insanity of transfer fees and that they are "doing it the right way".

The Liverpool delusion.

The cult is powerful at this time of year. Ex-players and the media promise a return to former glories. The deluded and the vulnerable find this fantasy credible.

It will pass because they will be victims of the worst injury crisis in living memory, appalling refereeing decisions, other clubs cheating, the wind and a general conspiracy against them and soon the message will change to "next year will be our year."

Surely they have a replacement lined up if this mon leaves, will make them more under strength than people will think if he goes, big time,he's a fantastic little player him

It would be a huge blow for them if he leaves, but I think they might hang on to him. Guess it depends how much he is willing to force a move.

He's said he'll only leave if it can be done amicably. With Liverpool that won't happen, but I think Coutinho might start to push for it the closer we get to the end of the window.
