No chance I would swap, Sergio is the master and Sterling and Sane are a season away from being world class, they have a great attack but ours is better for me...!

Taking the blue tinted lenses off , Salah and Mane are a match for Sane and Sterling , but you are correct regarding Sergio he is twice the player Firminio is , and after due consideration , we have the stronger forward line , thanks for making me see sense :)

Are you new to football? The best way to defend is as a team. When you lose the ball all of your players are defenders. Just as when you have it all of your players are attackers. It may be why our defence is miles ahead of Liverpool’s. The fact city’s defence doesn’t get tested as much is proof to the team concept working. It is by design.

It’s a cup competition after all. From now on, they could lose a few games but also smash a few teams along the way at anfield. I wouldn’t mind facing them in the quarters as long as we get our shit together at anfield. I’d like to think we’re to good for them over two legs. Can definitely seeing them shocking a few of the big teams left like Madrid.

Right so you'd have the front line that has them trailing us by 18 pts????? Odd choice.
 
Salah has been decent for half a season, but already had a go at Chelsea and shit his pants. He's 25.

Sterling is 23, Sane 22. No chance I'd swap either for Salah.
 
They have A LOT of players in their peak years right now, always worth noting in debates like this.
 
Our front 3 make our midfield & defence stronger as well as score, that’s the point all the other teams keep missing.

When they say our defence is dodgy & you see Walker 100m up the pitch, Delph in centre midfield & our ball playing centre halves inviting pressure why do they keep comparing player for player in a 433.

They talk about Sterling missing chances not doing this but he without doubt one of the finest players at pressing & allowing us to recover the ball.

You are the most sensible Scouser fan on here by a country mile. I actually think you do have a chance at the CL. Not among the favourites by any means, but if you take your chances and get a bit of luck (which everyone needs), you could win 3 more ties. The Scum on the other hand have no hope.
 
It’s their year in Europe.

About time we accepted this and concentrated on a potential minimum of a domestic double.

Liverpool are quite clearly a competent team going forward and in my opinion have a decent outsiders chance of the CL.
They clearly an beat us on their day. Next season is a completely different issue, I expect them to improve.
What is important to us though is not what the other teams do but what we do.
It's been quite a few years now since a team has put up a strong defense of the title.

They will improve mate, no doubt about that, so will City though, I can see us being better next season which will scare the shit out of all the teams in the PL ... Hope Pep signs a new deal, that alone will piss the rest off...!
