Crazy really.

VVD is a big bloke who can head the ball, lots of heart, and he kicks people. Can't pass. There are plenty of those available in the Championship for a few million. Incredible that he is the most expensive defender in the World.

Ox - even Wenger gave up on him. Decent mid table journeyman - sort of James Morrison level. But surely not the midfield player that wins you the title "next year".

It is almost as if the Liverpool transfer policy is driven by what is said by the lunatics on RAWK.

Shocking business. What did they think, VVD comes in and they will automatically stop leaking goals??? The painted him as the answer and the player that will solve their defensive problems.

Ox lol even more ridiculous when you consider that he only had a year left on his deal.

Hopefully they don’t smarten up and buy Alisson who would cost a record fee but would be a major upgrade. Still need to strengthen other positions as well.

So they draw with Spurs, it is the refs fault. They lose to United. it is the refs fault.

Is it ever their fault?

No. Nothing is ever their fault...not in football and not in general life.......

In reality a lot of things that have happened around that club they should have taken some responsibility for

So they have spent £115 million on those two players, not sure they are spending wisely.
£115m? Hold on, are we talking about the Oxlade fella and VVD? If VVD was £75m, surely to God they didn't pay £40m for the other lad!

I believe they paid something in that region for him . Absolutely ridiculous signing.

Fuck me, just checked online and it was reported at £40m! No fucking way is he a £40m football player. I hope Liverpool got slaughtered for that.

But none of them on there seemed to get the irony of claiming that the Valencia kick to Mane's head was a cast-iron red card. I have to confess that incident made me laugh out loud.

Neville seemed to be suggesting he was lucky to get away with a yellow. The same Neville that was so vociferous against the red for a much worse challenge by Mane on Ederson.

And have to play Chelsea at the bridge

There are few things more entertaining than Liverpool fans (not) dealing with failure. It makes ArsenalTV look sane.

For this reason alone I hope Liverpool do not make the top 4.

If Spurs win today, the Dippers are down to fourth and only 4 points ahead of Chelsea for that CL spot.
Now it’s looking like United won’t slip out of the top four is like to see Liverpool do so.

They have to play Chelsea away n’all and I’m sure they’ll drop points elsewhere.

Liverpool never looked like winning yesterday. They are a team to play on the counter or to win the ball high up the field and use the pace of their front three to exploit the space behind the opposing defence. These were never scenarios we were likely to witness yesterday because Maureen was never going to commit enough players forward to risk being caught on the break. Liverpool won the ball back high up plenty of times but there was never any space to exploit. And this exposed the other great Liverpool weakness - they heave no real width and so they continually attacked through a narrow bus ticket n front of the goal which was covered by Smalling, Bailly and two fullbacks who could come tight. De Gea had only one save to make in the match - from a cute flick from his own team mate - and he didn't make it! Toothless up front, Liverpool showed that £75 million hasn't solved that soft centre at the heart of their defence.

So, there was no robbery yesterday. We saw quite simply that Liverpool are nowhere near as good as they tell us they are.

What makes it worse is that he only had a year left on his deal. Madness!!!

Do they? Well, well, after all the excitement, they may not make the CL spots.
Klippertys gurning will be off the scale, for all the adoration he gets off the dippers he's en route to achieving jack shit yet again.

Liverpool still have to visit Goodison and Selhurst Park as well. Their remaining fixtures don't look particularly daunting, but I suppose it may depend on how distracted they become by Europe.
