Liverpool thread 2017/18

The media goes on about L'pool's "exciting front three" but City have an exciting front seven.
 
I've been unable to post in this thread for awhile - thanks Ric for clearing this up.

I'm from across the pond - and am only a City supporter since 2008 or so.

So, I'm completely ignorant of club history.

My take on this rivalry... a small minority of Liverpool fans are obviously complete idiots - but this small minority doesn't at all seem to be representative of the typical Liverpool supporter.

That said - Liverpool need to come down very strongly against these idiots to make 100% clear that this sort of behavior is intolerable - they've not done so IMO.

TL/DR - I've nothing against Liverpool per se other than that they're a strong rival. At the same time, Liverpool as a club should do much more to condemn the few overboard idiots who are tarnishing their reputation.
 
The kicker here is these fuckers got exactly what they want.

They have an excuse.

It was Ramos you see, because Salah was the best player on the pitch and they'd have easily won 5-0 if Salah wasn't murdered.

It was Karius. He was paid to do it you see.

Deep, deep down they know they were never good enough and shouldn't have even been in a final but for the refs ensuring they were.

I hope this causes an implosion. If Klopp isn't 100% by October they'll Rodgers him, mark my words.

It's not a small minority, its at the very least a very significant minority.

I know plenty of decent Liverpool fans and even they acknowledge that quite a large proportion of their fan base are ****s.

What they wanted was to win the C/L. They failed in large part due to their keeper.
Agree that Salah's injury was a big part of the match as well.

I like Klopp, and having nothing per se against Liverpool.

That said, the better side, IMO, won the CL.

Liverpool will strengthen next season - but so will we.

And I think we'll be by far the better side.

Buddy I'm not being smart, but you clearly don't understand Liverpool as a club or a fanbase. So much so, you've completely missed the point of my post.

Fair enough - some of the shit they've done is off-scale horrible.

Arrest the bastards and throw them in jail.

But... the average Liverpool fan - is he/or she, worthy of absolute disdain?

I think not, but I'm from the states. If said average Liverpool fan isn't pushing for punishment of the minority Liverpool hooligans... then yes, the club as a whole is rotten.
 
most deluded fanbase in england. hasn't won shit in 10 years and hasn't won the title in 30 yet still have the nerves to think they're some hot shit.

But my brother and a friend I know support Liverpool here in the states.

Goddamn it all - I owe one of them a burrito for betting that City would win out against Liverpool in the CL!

That said - neither condone the minority holligans at Liverpool.

So enlighten me - yes a minory part of the Liverpool fan base are criminals - yes, criminals.

And yes, as I've stated above, Liverpool need to do much more as a club to condemn this.

At least we had genuinely won it by then... The absolute arrogance of Liverpool football club, and its deluded “worldwide fan base” is, much like the rags, something that knows no bounds
