Meanwhile, I subscribed to The Anfield Wrap for a time and the pod after they got battered by Spurs was a good listen. This is Gareth Roberts, former Sunday Sport hack and 41 year old man-child:

'We're 12 behind Man City and Manchester City are on a different plane to Liverpool. We're not going to win the League... it's not even Halloween and we're saying, 'We're not going to win the League again'. And to me as someone who's 41 and watched these bastards for 27 years, that is hard to say every season, 'Fucking hell, another year where we're not going to win the League'. So yes, hard to take.'

Worth quoting any time some Liverpool fans goads us about the CL. Meanwhile, they did a pod about City after the Liverpool CL losses and the United loss which a masterclass in hubris. I'll upload it once I find out how to do so.

It is because they truly believe they are the world's funniest and most loveable people and everyone should share every word that pours forth from their mouths, delivered with the speed of bullets from a machine gun. They also have the biggest sense of entitlement, in that they will behave and do exactly what they want, irrespective of whether anyone unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity likes it or not.

I just looked that account up.......I wish I hadn't. Seriously there should be some kind of test before people can become a father. He is still at it.

Incidentally was one of the few City fans actually at the 1981 Boxing Day 3-1 win at Anfield. For my sins at the time, my boyf was a Scouse supporting red. I did make the mistake of standing, with my City scarf on, with their supporters behind the goal and I can say now that their reputation as being ignorant f&&kers is totally justified. I was late teens and I kid you not that the filthy vermin wanted to set about me when we scored. I have also had the misfortune on another occasion a few years previously of being at Graeme Souness debut (14 Jan 78) and was in the KOP with BF. It was horrendous and the nearest I have come to being smothered alive especially when they scored towards the end. They were not happy cos I remember them being beaten and have just checked it was Birmingham City who were the 3-2 victors.

Anyway I am not holding my breath for a EUFA reprimand. I loathe them.

PS I didn't make the mistake of marrying the Scouser - although it was a close run thing and he was surprisingly articulate and intelligent......!
