From RAWK. New one on me, not heard this theory on why they won it this year....

"Liverpool were the best team in the Premier League this season, and one of the main reasons Man City got the title is that the points system is faulty. Look at the number of games they lost. 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw is not the right way to go about it.
We were unlucky not to win a number of games which became draws but got a point. City lost a couple of games. We lost one game, and even in that game we were unlucky to lose. No doubt in my mind that we were better through the season.

Liverpool P38 W30 D7 L1 PTS67
Man City P38 W32 D2 L4 PTS66

hahahahahawtfhaha

If it was also 2 points for a win in the Champions League, they wouldn't have made it out of the group stage and therefore would not be in the final.

Still, not like a Dipper to 'dip' in and out of ideals when it favours them eh?

I have just watched Granada reports and in the excerpts from Anfield some gobby old scouse hag was giving it the " We aren't leaving that trophy behind this time, this is the one City really wanted." Erm no it wasn't you scouse hag, Pep said it is the premier league first every time and truth be known the premier league is the one YOU really crave. No wonder everyone hates them, come on you Spur's!!!

The greatest manager this country ever produced, Brian Clough, said he’d rather win the league than any trophy, even the European Cup, as it is a true reflection of a team's consistency over a season.

That’s good enough for me.

Was just about to post this!

I am sure if someone was to point that out he would respond with “we were very unlucky to not win those games — UEFA have it in for us.”

And me and he was right. A cup competition is a lottery and even in the champions league format you only have to prevail in a number of games so long as you reach and win the final. The league is a long gruelling slog where you play every team twice in all conditions, a much more worthy trophy to win however much spin is put on winning the champions league.

Maybe next year eh, you bitter Scouse rats.

Hopefully next season we are singing, " Sterling won the treble, the scousers won fuck all!"

It’s amazing that they did so well against our financial doping without signing Alisson for £70m, Van Dijk £75m, Robertson £8m, Lallana £25m, Henderson £20m, Salah £40m, Firmino £30m, Oxlade Chamberlain £35m, Keita £59m, Origi £12m, Sturridge £12m, Lovren £20m and Winjaldum £26m.

Oh. Wait..

Oh. Wait..

But....but...but.. they took Milner and turned him into a "superstar".

I mean it had nothing to do with him wanting more money and playing time than he had at City.

Van Dijk wasnt the finished article either app... at a fantastic price of ONLY 75MIL!
