Spot the similarities in the accusations re financial doping, no fans etc in this piece from a Chelsea supporter in 2011 entitled 'Know your own istory' in response to the abuse they were getting from dipper pundits and fans when the bought Torres from them http://www.chelseasupportersgroup.net/2011/02/know-your-own-istory/

One can only hope that the Sultan of Brunei buys Everton one day so that their heads finally implode forcing them to have a special second kit design with the rainbow flag on it.
OMG its de ja vue moment. Jesus the dippers have been stuck on the same record ever since. Thanks for posting

I particularly enjoyed the Aldridge reference at the foot of the article:
Still they can all Far Cry Toff as far as I’m concerned starting with the hypocrite Aldridge who himself left Liverpool for the riches of Italy and the odious Pinochio Thompson!

Apologies if already posted....

They're absolutely desperate to have the Dippers at the top of the table. Any table.

I wonder why 50 years was the cut off. Actually I don't.

For dippers to post this would be a bit small time, but coming from Sky themselves... And then they wonder why they're accused of bias.

Why are they so bitter about losing the PL? They still have a CL final to play for. Or did they want the PL more?

I've got one mate who supports Liverpool and he even said the day before the final day, even when he knew they weren't likely to get it, that he'd rather have the Premier League. I think most of them would, because the Premier League is the better measure of which team is the best. Cup competitions by their nature have a large element of luck involved. When you hear people talk about the great teams of the past, it's always based on their league performance, rather than the Champions League (unless they win both in the same season, or they do three back-to-back like Real Madrid). Nobody points to Liverpool's 2005 team or Chelsea's 2012 team as one of the greats of English football. Mourinho's team that dominated the Premier League are considered among the best though.
