To be honest, it always felt like a slightly false position. We simply haven't played well enough this season. We were only in touch with you and Liverpool because we had managed to scrap our way to a whole bunch of narrow, pedestrian wins. Too much to ask that we could have gone through the whole season like that without paying the price. We need major surgery this summer because we have a thin squad, because we lack creativity and dynamism in the final third and because we have lost much of the defensive solidity that we enjoyed in previous seasons under Poch.

However, on our day we can indeed be a fucking good side - even if only for short spells during a game. Even more importantly, while we still have the capacity to shoot ourselves in the foot, we have also shown great fighting qualities at times this season. And we have three or four players who can suddenly rise above the ordinary and turn it on. It's why we're in the final.

We also know very well that we should have beaten Liverpool at Anfield. So we are not without hope.

You got past us across a 2 legged tie mate.

And we’re better than them, so no reason, if you approach it with the right mindset you can’t beat them in a one off game.

Also, don’t forget there will no rabid, maniacal ‘Anfield factor’ to consider.

Poch has a huge opportunity to make a gigantic name for himself and your club has a gigantic opportunity to be CL Champions.

No point in coming this far and not giving it 1000%.

You’re good enough. Go and show it.

Absolutely. One thing we can be sure of is that Poch will send his team out on the night with 100% belief that they can and will win. More than anything else, that is what he has changed at the club.

A very quiet hungover day at work and a discussion and research into scousers under moores and we did a bit of research and I won a few bets form a welsh scouser, anyhow some of them might be interesting when they sprout up about inflating the market and financial doping etc.

Sorry for these being scouse examples it came up at work so figured fresh in head.

Neymer @ 222m was 42% of PSG turnover crazy yes but Liverpool 1995 annual declared turnover £19.8m wife beater 8.5m, that’s = 43% they set the bench mark of acceptability in crazy transfers!
1989 the scousers wages and transfer spend was 138% of turnover and they nearly won the league but for Thomas , 1991 they took net transfer spend and wages to 172% of turnover. During the Moore’s years they had a net spend of 87m ish roughly what he invested as the owner when he sold for £88m. Total bullshit from the media. If anyone is interested take a look at their 1991 return of 3.5m wages upped to 6.1m on the 1992 return for the previous year. 57% discrepancy

Just ventured on to rawk to see what they're saying now about little old City. Well it would seem they're all experts on the human rights situation in Abu Dhabi ,and were disgusted by events there well before they invested in City. Ha ha, yeah like fuck were they bothered before our investment, the hypocritical wankers.

You are doubting that people who celebrate being associated with ground zero for the holocaust of international slavery aren't the most credible bellwethers of human rights abuse? Liverpool broke FPP but were able to escape sanctions by claiming expenses for building a stadium that they didn't build.. they are clearly entitled to their self-righteous proclamations about proper clubs doing it without outside financing.
