ashamed of nothing, offended by everything

Why people in Liverpool are so angry at 'Tory chants' from Man United fans

Peter Mcpartland said: "Just a reminder that you're a massive Tory if you sing feed the Scousers or any song that mocks the economic status of other football fans.
Joe Turner added: "Tory Man United fans singing “feed the Scousers” when there’s thousands relying on food banks this Christmas. Stay classy fellas."
"There is a humanitarian crisis on our streets which transcends football rivalries and I hope the supporters of both Manchester clubs reflect on the bigger picture over Christmas when citizens of both great cities will be struggling due to Tory Austerity and casualisation of the Labour market.
The chant uses the tune of the famous Band Aid song 'Do They Know Its Christmas' - but uses the lyrics 'Feed the Scousers, let them know it's Christmas Time' - in a bid to mock those within the city who are struggling to afford food.
And while it has been used many times before, a number of people took particular offence at its use this weekend - with parts of the city involved in a 'humanitarian crisis' - and foodbanks in Liverpool under huge demand to ensure families do not go hungry this Christmas.
Even Manchester United fans took to social media to call out the offensive chant.

But it’s fucking sweet to go round bricking other club’s coaches.

These ****s are from another planet.

We were singing it as well. Don't know why he's so offended, if it came down to it and Liverpool was starving, we'd only feed the blue scousers.

And therein lies the problem I have with dippers. The hypocrisy of the club and their supporters knows no bounds. They mock the rags about the Munich Air crash whilst being outraged about Hillsbrough chants. Allow no judgement for Heysel or any other carnage they caused (including getting all English clubs banned from European competition) yet think we should be banned for spending too much money... smash up our bus yet are hysterical and again outraged by the hammering they took from Roma fans, who were clearly expecting similar treatment.

History means nothing when it comes to their lack of recent success yet everything when it comes to belittling us as a club.

I don't agree with most of the above behaviour but if you dish it out you have to be able to take it.

Can’t stand them but agree feed the scousers is not a classy song to sing given the amount of people on the breadline all over the country. Simply put if we are singing the same song as that Salford lot we’re doing something wrong.

I always find it strange it is normally one’s who sing the songs about tragedies etc. that take most offence when others do it about their club.

They than use it as justification for their song that causes just as much offence as the one there offended by. The only difference is the other party gets offended. It’s like a comedy sketch how stupid the rationale is.

I couldn’t ever see me getting that worked up by it or offended. I just think some sad individuals that have got confused over what a game of football is suppose to be. They think this makes them some die hard fans but really it just helps everyone else spot the person to avoid. I think this for some of our fans as well.

I do get the Liverpool thing of being outraged about everything and accept no responsibility for anything they do as annoying. They seem to be above the law as well with the coach attack being encouraged and than swept under the carpet. I thought Pep’s comment that this can’t be Anfield pointed to the lack of class shown (works well when he says it as well as he oozes class). Most fans can already see this and the media know as well but they can’t print it. It is why they tend to be one of the most disliked set of fans.

Beat them on a sporting level City and never lower ourselves to be like them off the field.

they are the most sporting and respectful fans in the world surely

Chilwell for £50m? Really?

Might as well be 50p to the child-murdering, terrorist-supporting, human-trafficking, misogynistic dictators.

bit of a contradiction this last one- on the 572nd page

They don't have a rivalry with anyone so are trying to invent one with us. United fans see them as an annoyance, nothing more, they hate us more than City and would rather City won stuff than us - local Facebook page missus is on, totally Man U area of the city, had a question, us or city to win the league - everyone voted City.

Before the blood money they were a nothing club, they think they are now a big club - they aren't they are just a rich club, Everton and Arsenal are bigger clubs than them - and they desperately want to matter. They don't

Ohhhhh yeah baby! I’m going to keep an eye out for this one come May.

What a cock!!!!

Correct, but would you want to see City banging balls into a channel, hoping someone would be in the end of them. I don't understand the over the top plaudits Klopp is getting for a team that basically depends on overpowering the opposition through sheer physical domination. So much for his so called more measured approach this season.
I agree totally with this mate. It’s a myth they play good football. They get it up to there front three ASAP and rely on their pace.

I can't think of one United fan I know that would prefer us to win the league. Long term they see us as the biggest threat and they don't disappear for a week when they lose against Liverpool like they do when we batter them. They have hardly ever competed against each other for title, but the plastics who have never visited Manchester or Merseyside would know that.

I can't think of a single season of the top of my head bar 2009 tbh where they actually competed for the title.
