They have to know inside that we are the much stronger side. The scoreline doesn’t tell the full story. They were dominated on their own pitch!! They have a bit more to come and will get better but we are on another level. The players who played in the game will know that

some very odd posts recently, from the usual suspects trying desperately to piss on people's parade.
Very odd behaviour from some, so-called, blues...

We would have done with the pen , long balls over the top that’s all they do did you see Eddie make a serious save I didn’t, dream on if you think come may they’ll be lifting the trophy
There really is no in between is there? Either a team is absolutely brilliant or complete crap.
The key fact is that we didn't beat them and they're on the same points as us, it would be idiotic to just a write them off

I wouldn't write them off either. I think we will retain the league but think the red scouse wont be as far behind this time

the point is they had a full pre-season and if we are totally honest have gone hell for leather to try, and the emphasis on try here, to pick up as many points as possible to have any sort of lead over us - and it hasn't worked.

As rightly said by someone earlier they have been lucky will the equaliser at chelsea and the penalty not given against spurs - they have rode their luck in other games also. The media will have people believe and the outside world that Liverpool are on some glorious march - well there not. They will have people believe that they haven't got into second gear yet - well they have.

What I have witnessed is klopp getting his first eleven ready from the very first game of the season so they could try and establish a points lead and it hasn't gone to plan - but the scousers will have you believe that they are yet to find 3rd gear and are still unbeaten !! What is happenning now is lethargy kicking in and a drop off in intensity has occurred and we are seeing the effect on them unfold - the lack of the front three being effective, little niggly injuries now occurring, that intense gen-gen press lasted a max of 15 minutes in the first half, 15 minutes !!!!! the second half they dropped off completely

They have been slowing down over the last few weeks and you could (as we did on here) predict it happenning, and this isn't the busiest part of the season yet

Yep and why Klopp moaning about the international break and this new competition that the managers of those teams will want to win so it be more intense game time for his players.

I put that in my post as the home team it is on them to break us down but for one of the very few occasions Pep didn't go plan A and rightly so. That's credit to Liverpool and how much Pep thinks of them. Maybe they will bottle it, I hope they do but at the end of the day we aren't going to reach the total of points we did last year and they are certainly going to have more points so it is on us to do what we do. They had key areas that needed addressing which have been and only improves them as a challenger. We are a better team but we also haven't hit last seasons heights yet which hopefully with the return of KDB we will, what I wont be doing though is declaring us as champions 8 games in when it is as tight as it is.

It's all about the mini league and if we can reproduce the points total accumulated last season as all the better clubs will take points off each other

What total do you reckon will win the Prem this season?

Looking at the best four challengers to us, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool, I don't really see any of those achieving more than 90 points

We wont match last season though nor should we expect to as it was a complete one off. Not sure what it will take to win it but Liverpool will certainly have more than the 75 from last season. If we do what we do best then it shouldn't be a problem but we will drop unexpected points like at Wolves which we may not have dropped last year. Still fancy us, just with a challenge this year.

All teams will drop points, that's what makes the PL so fascinating
