You have more ‘fans’ round the country & the world but is it anything to be proud of attracting tourists , glory hunters & day trippers , Alton towers one day off to Anfield the next . I’m happy with our largely Mancunian fan base .

When the Icelandic ash cloud hit Northern Europe and flights couldn’t come into Great Britain, Liverpool happened to be playing at home against West Ham and the attendance at Anfield was just 37697

The last time City were proper shit, under Stuart Pearce (ten home goals all season, none from the New Year onwards that season), our average attendance that season was 39997.

United get about 45000 at home early round cup games and the same for that game that was rearranged against Bournemouth a few years ago.

Foreign nobodies are not real fans. They are just plastic fans. Liverpool and United have a frightening amount of plastic nobodies. City do not yet what we do have is just around the same amount of core fans to count on as the two plastic giants, just like most of the clubs in cities. Nobody’s proper core fans are that much bigger or better than anyone else’s.

Indeed!

I’d much MUCH rather have our fan base as it is than have it full of plastic nobodies.

Just wish the club felt the same! Wish they would freeze SeasonCard prices (United have done for 9 out of the last 10 years to be fair to the ****s) for the next decade and come out and say they’re going to do that to attract those with good amount of loyalty points who’ve given up their tickets because of the constant price hikes, back to the SC support, give them first refusal on the tickets.
